Overview

EyesClear is a financial-crime compliance product with a case-management Platform and a separate public-record screening service, Investigations. It suits financial institutions that need to handle sanctions or name-matching alerts, especially those that want the Platform and its AI processing inside their own environment. It is not a real-time payment-screening system.

The two services solve different stages of work. The Platform turns incoming alerts into documented cases for analyst decisions; Investigations checks people and companies against public records and returns findings with source quotes. Investigations can stand alone in a browser or feed an existing case system, making it the easier place to start without a deployment project.

Key features

Alert handling and case workflow

The Platform brings compliance alerts into one queue, gathers evidence, drafts case narratives, and routes decisions for analyst sign-off. Cases do not close automatically: an analyst reviews, edits, and signs before action. That human checkpoint makes the workflow appropriate where accountability matters, though it does not remove the need for analyst capacity.

Investigations screening

Investigations screens companies and people against public records and presents the findings with source quotations. A screening uses one credit. Its narrow, evidence-oriented role is useful for resolving a name match, but it should not be mistaken for payment monitoring or a replacement for the customer’s alert-generating screening platform.

Integration, security and audit

Platform connectors cover SWIFT, ISO 20022, MQ, Kafka, databases, and files for CRM, transaction, risk, and KYC data. The Platform and AI inference run within the bank’s environment; customer data and inference are not sent to an external cloud or third-party vendor. The separate hosted Investigations service sends a subject’s name and derived search terms to public sources and the language models it uses, not customer files, transactions, or alerts. The Platform centrally records evidence, case history, decisions, and user activity with audit trails, which supports review of how a case was handled.

Pricing

EyesClear Investigations: 0.00 USD per free. It is free for financial institutions and their regulators, and a new account includes five screening credits. At one credit per screening, that is enough for five checks before more credits are needed; no other credit allowance is stated.

EyesClear Platform: custom pricing; request a demo. The free Investigations service is the lower-commitment option, but it does not include the Platform’s alert queue and case workflow.

Platforms

The Platform supports self-hosted deployment, including on-premise or private cloud, while Investigations is a hosted web service. The entry identifies web and self-hosted platforms overall. The separation matters: buyers can use Investigations without deployment, while the Platform’s deployment model keeps its processing in the bank’s environment.

Who it's for

EyesClear is best suited to financial institutions and regulators that need public-record investigations, or banks seeking a controlled workflow for existing sanctions and name-matching alerts. Its customer risk assessment, transaction monitoring, case management, regulatory reporting, and audit-trail categories indicate a broad compliance remit, but the stated limitation is decisive: it resolves alerts from another screening platform rather than screening payments in real time. Institutions needing that real-time function should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: Investigations is free for eligible institutions and regulators, with five initial screening credits and no deployment requirement.
Pros: Platform inference stays inside the bank’s environment, and its connectors cover common financial messaging, streaming, database, and file inputs.
Pros: Human sign-off and centralized case records preserve analyst oversight and an auditable decision trail.
Cons: The Platform has custom pricing, so its cost cannot be compared from a published rate.
Cons: Investigations starts with only five credits, and each screening consumes one.
Cons: EyesClear does not screen payments in real time; it depends on alerts raised by another screening platform.

Verdict

Choose EyesClear if your institution wants a documented, analyst-approved path from existing compliance alerts to case decisions, or a no-deployment public-record screening service for eligible organizations. Its strongest reasons to choose it are the bank-contained Platform processing and the free Investigations entry point. Look elsewhere if real-time payment screening is essential, or if you need a published Platform price before engaging a vendor.
