Overview

The product brings shipment conditions, lane qualification, and exception records together at the package level. Teams can store temperature requirements, validated packaging types, and qualified lanes for each package, giving them a more specific view of compliance than shipment status alone.

That focus makes Agistix a considered choice for life sciences operations where temperature control and traceable records matter. It is less suited to buyers looking for a self-serve product or a known upfront price: commercial access starts with a demo request, and pricing is custom.

Key features

Package tracking and sensor data

GPS, temperature, shock, and humidity readings can feed shipment records in real time, with alerts when thresholds are breached. Multiple temperature zones are supported. In practice, this gives teams a way to monitor more than location and temperature alone, while tying each package to its own requirements. The value depends on sensor data being connected to the shipment record.

Compliance and supplier visibility

Timestamped audit logs cover temperature data, lane qualification, and exception events, and can be exported for GxP/GDP review. Shipment data from CMOs, 3PLs, and carrier networks can also be ingested, extending visibility to freight managed outside the organization. This combination is useful for teams that need both a record of exceptions and insight into partner-handled shipments.

Integrations and operations

Agistix names SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics integrations for delivery confirmation and proof-of-delivery data. EDI, REST APIs, webhooks, XML, and CSV provide additional connection options. The product also supports dock door scheduling, appointment requests, carrier self-service, and both supported load types, broadening its role beyond cold-chain monitoring into shipment coordination.

Agistix describes the platform as SaaS, with high-availability and disaster-recovery protocols, and states that it provides 24/7 support. Those provisions may matter for teams managing time-sensitive freight, though they do not replace evaluation of how the service fits a particular operation.

Pricing

Agistix Cold Chain uses custom pricing, with a demo required. No free trial is stated. Buyers should treat it as an enterprise purchasing decision rather than a product they can assess through a self-serve free tier.

Platforms

Agistix Cold Chain is offered on web and through an API. That combination suits teams connecting shipment records to existing systems, but the stated platform coverage does not include mobile apps.

Who it's for

Biotech and pharmaceutical organizations handling biologics, cell and gene therapies, or clinical trial materials are the clearest fit. Package-level temperature requirements, validated lane matching, sensor alerts, and exportable audit logs address the operational and compliance needs described for those shipments. Teams relying on CMOs, 3PLs, or carriers may also benefit from ingesting partner shipment data.

Organizations seeking a low-commitment tool, transparent prices, or mobile apps should compare other options. Agistix's demo-led sales process and custom pricing make it a less direct fit for smaller teams that need to decide quickly.

Pros and cons

Package-specific controls: Requirements, packaging, and qualified lanes can be recorded for each package, not just tracked as a shipment status.
Broad condition monitoring: GPS, temperature, shock, and humidity data can trigger threshold alerts in real time.
Audit-ready records: Timestamped logs for temperature, lane qualification, and exceptions can be exported for GxP/GDP review.
Custom pricing and demo required: Buyers cannot compare a published price or start with a stated free trial.
Web and API only: The stated platform options omit Android and iOS apps.

Verdict

Agistix Cold Chain is a strong fit for life sciences teams that need package-level condition monitoring, qualified-lane records, and auditable exception data across supplier-managed freight. Its integration breadth and compliance focus are the main reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if mobile apps, a published price, or a self-serve trial are essential.
