Overview

ABC Trainerize is a fitness coaching platform for trainers who need to deliver programs and coordinate client communication, sessions, and billing. Its mix of coaching tools and mobile apps suits solo trainers and growing fitness businesses, though client-seat limits shape which plan fits.

It brings workout delivery together with messaging, progress tracking, scheduling, and payment processing. That breadth is useful for coaches managing ongoing relationships, but the free and entry plans suit only very small rosters.

Key features

Programs and client progress

Trainers can deliver workout programs through a client portal, track goals and progress, and use forms and assessments. These features support structured coaching beyond assigning workouts alone. Capacity is the key constraint: Basic has one client seat, Grow has two, and Pro covers 5 to 200 clients.

Communication and coaching sessions

In-app messaging has basic and advanced options depending on plan. Scheduling includes appointments, classes, and calendar sync, while video coaching supports live and on-demand classes and virtual coaching sessions. Group coaching and class scheduling make Trainerize a stronger fit for coaches running shared sessions as well as individual programs.

Payments and integrations

Integrated payment processing and Stripe integration can put billing alongside coaching workflows. Grow includes integrations with client apps and wearables, and wearable sync is supported. These capabilities are relevant to coaches who want client activity and payment tools in the same platform, though the plan-specific messaging and integration differences make it worth matching features to the chosen tier.

Support

Support options include a help center, email, live chat, and live phone support. Trainerize reports more than 400,000 trainers and coaches, 45,000 businesses, and 1.6 million clients, signaling a substantial customer base without changing the practical importance of choosing an appropriate seat allowance.

Pricing

Trainerize is freemium, with paid plans starting at $9.00 USD per month. Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes; annual plans are billed once per year.

Basic: 0.00 USD per free, with one client seat. It gives a new or occasional coach a no-cost way to start, but the single-client cap makes it unsuitable for building a broader roster.
Grow: 9.00 USD per month for two client seats. This is the lowest paid step and fits a coach serving a very small number of clients; it offers little room to grow before another plan is needed.
Pro: 23.00 USD per month, supporting 5 to 200 clients. This is the stated step for a larger roster, with capacity depending on client count. The Pro 5 plan is also priced at 23.00 USD per month.
Studio Plus: 248.00 USD per month, with custom pricing for each location added. It supports 500 to 1,000+ client seats and 5+ locations, making it the option for multi-location operations rather than independent trainers.

A 30-day trial includes unlimited clients and requires no credit card. That gives coaches room to evaluate the platform with a full roster before paying, unlike the tightly capped free Basic plan.

Platforms

Mobile apps are available for iOS and Android. A client portal, wearable sync, and calendar sync add support for managing coaching across the mobile and scheduling workflows.

Who it's for

Trainerize is best for personal trainers and fitness businesses that want workout delivery, client messaging, scheduling, group coaching, and payments together. Basic and Grow are most relevant to coaches with one or two clients; Pro is the more sensible fit once the roster reaches five or more. Studio Plus targets larger organizations with multiple locations and hundreds of seats.

It is less suitable for a coach who needs a generous free client allowance: Basic covers only one client, and Grow only two. A larger business should also compare the seat range and location pricing against its actual roster and footprint.

Pros and cons

Pro: Workout delivery, progress tools, forms, assessments, messaging, scheduling, video coaching, and payments cover a broad coaching workflow.
Pro: The 30-day trial has unlimited clients and needs no credit card, allowing evaluation without the free plan's one-client cap.
Pro: iOS and Android apps and wearable integrations support mobile-oriented coaching.
Con: The free Basic plan is limited to one client, while the $9.00 USD Grow plan allows just two, so even modest growth can require a plan change.
Con: Studio Plus combines a substantial monthly price with custom per-location charges, which is a material cost consideration for multi-site businesses.

Verdict

Choose ABC Trainerize if you want a single platform for workout programming, client communication, session scheduling, and payment processing, with a no-card 30-day trial to assess the full workflow. Its main drawback is the tight capacity of the free and entry plans; coaches with more than a couple of clients should weigh the Pro seat range and larger-business pricing before committing.
