Overview

Autopilot links lead capture, job scheduling, customer messages, payments, reviews, and follow-ups. Scheduling, dispatch, estimates, invoicing, online booking, automated texts, time tracking, and reporting give it scope beyond a basic appointment calendar: it is intended to support a service job from customer inquiry through payment and follow-up. That breadth is useful for businesses trying to coordinate office and field work in one platform, but may be unnecessary for an operator who only needs to book jobs.

The strongest case for Autopilot is a home-service business that needs customer management as well as day-to-day job operations. Its plans scale by user count and add communications, phone, AI, and integration features at higher tiers. Companies should account for extra-user charges and usage allowances when comparing the monthly prices.

Key features

Jobs, estimates, and payments

Scheduling and dispatch sit alongside estimates with online approval, invoicing, and online booking. Payment processing, Tap to Pay, and card readers are included in Run, so even the entry plan connects the job workflow to collecting payment. Equipment tracking and route optimization are also among the product's capabilities, though the plan comparison does not assign them to a particular tier.

Customer communication

Run includes automated job and estimate texts. Grow adds a two-way text inbox and a full phone system with recording, making it a more capable choice for teams that handle customer conversations throughout the day. The iPhone and Android apps support jobs, scheduling, GPS, calling, texting, payments, photos, and time tracking; native Mac and Windows desktop apps handle business calls and texts.

AI and integrations

Scale adds an AI Receptionist that answers calls around the clock, with 300 receptionist minutes per month, plus AI call summaries. It also includes Zapier integration and an open API with webhooks. Direct integrations named for Autopilot include Stripe, QuickBooks, Google Ads, Google Business Profile, Google Calendar, Google Local Services Ads, Facebook Ads, and Bing Ads; Zapier connects it to more than 9,000 apps. These options make Scale the tier to consider when connecting Autopilot to a wider software stack, but the receptionist and usage allowances should be weighed against actual call and messaging volume.

Pricing

Autopilot is paid, with a 14-day free trial and no free plan. Every plan starts with a free two-week trial, and customers can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.

Run — 49.00 USD per month: Includes one user, scheduling, jobs and dispatch, estimates with online approval, invoicing, Tap to Pay and card readers, an online booking page, and automated job and estimate texts. It is the clearest fit for a solo operator who needs core service workflows and payments. The one-user allowance means even a small crew will need to consider the cost of added seats.
Grow — 119.00 USD per month: Includes three users and everything in Run, plus two-way text messaging, a full phone system with recording, time tracking and time cards, and Review Guard. It is the practical step up for a small team that needs shared customer communications and labor records; it costs more than twice Run's monthly price, so a solo business may not need its additions.
Scale — 299.00 USD per month: Includes eight users and everything in Grow, plus the AI Receptionist, AI Call Summaries, Zapier and open API with webhooks, QuickBooks integration, and live GPS tracking. Its included 300 receptionist minutes per month, 1,500 VoIP minutes, 1,500 SMS messages, 100 SMS blast sends, and 1,000 email sends provide defined allowances; overages are charged at listed rates. This tier is aimed at larger teams or businesses that need those integrations and automation, not simply more seats.
Enterprise Plan — custom pricing: For companies with multiple locations; pricing is arranged through a call.

Additional users cost $29/month per user, which can change the economics of a plan once its included seats are exceeded. Both an in-app AI support assistant and human customer support are included across the plan comparison.

Platforms

Autopilot supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, Windows, and API access. The mobile apps cover field tasks such as GPS, photos, payments, calls, and time tracking, while native desktop apps support business calls and texts on Mac and Windows. That combination suits operators who need access in the field and at a desk.

Who it's for

Autopilot is best for home-service businesses that want scheduling, dispatch, estimates, invoicing, payments, and customer communication to work together. Run suits a solo operator; Grow better serves a small team that needs a shared inbox and phone system; Scale is more appropriate when a larger team can use its added users, AI receptionist, GPS tracking, and integrations. A business with multiple locations can pursue Enterprise. It is a weaker fit for someone seeking only a simple booking calendar or a free starting plan.

Pros and cons

Pro: The workflow connects lead capture through payments and follow-up, reducing the need to coordinate those core service tasks across separate systems.
Pro: Mobile apps include field-relevant tools such as GPS, photos, payments, and time tracking, while Mac and Windows desktop apps handle business calls and texts.
Pro: Higher tiers add practical team capabilities, including a two-way messaging inbox, phone recording, AI call handling, and QuickBooks integration.
Con: There is no free plan, and the lowest tier includes just one user; additional seats are $29/month each.
Con: Scale has monthly limits for calls, texts, blasts, email, and receptionist time, with overages charged at listed rates.
Con: Scale costs 299.00 USD per month, making its extra automation and integration features a substantial step up from Grow for businesses that do not need them.

Alternatives

Fieldified is worth considering if a free plan matters: it offers scheduling, invoicing, CRM, and reporting at no cost, though usage limits apply. Its Basic plan is 49.00 USD per month, billed for five users, giving a different seat proposition from Autopilot's single-user Run plan.

Arb Pro is a paid option without a free trial, with additional mobile users at 10.00 GBP per month and additional desktop users at 25.00 GBP per month, both plus VAT. ArborNote may suit a buyer looking at a different crew-based price structure: ArborNote Works is 75.00 USD per month for one crew leader, with a Premium add-on at 100.00 USD per month.

Treetask offers a plan for up to three people at 40.00 GBP per month per business, with all features and unlimited surveys, quotes, and jobs; its stated start date is December 2026. Arborgold is another paid option, with a Starter plan at 129.00 USD per month and an annual contract required. ArboStar starts at US$149/mo for its US Starter plan, which includes one full office license and one crew login; its page also shows US$199 USD/mo and says annual billing saves 25%.

Clearion UVM and Sheltera are also paid alternatives.

Verdict

Choose Autopilot if your home-service business needs a connected system for customer communication, job execution, and payment, with plans that expand from a solo operator to larger teams. Its breadth across mobile, desktop, and customer workflows is the main reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need a free plan, want to avoid per-user charges, or are unlikely to use the higher tiers' added communications and automation.
