Songen is the clearest fit for making West Coast rap beats: its listing names Westcoast Rap and describes editable AI-generated MIDI loops. AIRAP also names West Coast, but it generates a complete rap song with vocals and a mix rather than establishing an instrumental beat-making workflow. For Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO users, neither supplied entry confirms Android availability, so check each vendor’s site before relying on a phone workflow.

What A West Coast Beat Needs
For this subgenre, a useful starting brief calls for a relaxed, rolling groove, a prominent bass line, and a clear lead part that can carry the track. Treat those as musical direction for your prompt, not guaranteed features of either generator. The available product details do not establish particular synth sounds, drum patterns, tempos, or arrangement conventions for West Coast output.

Make the prompt concrete about the result you want. For an instrumental, specify that it should be a West Coast rap beat with no vocals, then describe the groove, bass character, lead sound, and intended mood in your own terms. If the generator does not expose those controls or the result misses the brief, check its site for supported prompt options and regeneration controls.
Best Options, Ranked
1. Songen — Best For Editable West Coast MIDI
Songen’s Westcoast Rap genre listing makes it the most directly supported match for this brief. Its described workflow generates lead, chord, bass, and drum MIDI loops that can be edited, arranged into sections, and exported as MIDI, lossless WAV audio, or separate stems. That gives a beatmaker material to shape in a music app instead of only a finished song file.

A practical brief is: “West Coast rap instrumental; rolling groove; bass-forward; distinct lead and chord parts; no vocals.” Generate a loop, then adjust the notes and build sections around it. Those prompt details are creative suggestions; the listing does not confirm that each phrase maps to a dedicated control or that every generated loop will contain a particular sound.
The free tier provides 100 generated loops per day and one free export; Songen Premium unlocks unlimited generating and exports. Songen says its beats are royalty-free and can be sold, licensed, or released without clearance, attribution, or extra fees. It is listed for iPhone and iPad through the App Store and Mac through the Mac App Store, with no Android or Windows version, so it is not an installable option on a Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO phone.

Its stated workflow delivers a mastered song in under 90 seconds; users can preview and regenerate takes as credits allow, then download the audio file after generation.

Check AIRAP’s site for those details and for its current credits and licensing terms before choosing it for a phone-based or commercial workflow.
