WhyDonate is an online fundraising platform for individuals and organizations collecting donations for medical costs, memorials, education, emergencies, and community projects. Organizers create pages with a story, goal, and photos, then share them through built-in tools or social media. Fundraiser pages, donation forms, and emails can use the organizer’s branding. The platform supports recurring donations and offers a WordPress plugin, an embeddable donation button, QR code collection, and a Zapier connection to apps such as Google Sheets, Mailchimp, Salesforce, QuickBooks Online, and Slack. WhyDonate says it supports fundraisers in 100+ countries, 19 languages, and 119 currencies. Its free plan has no sign-up fee, monthly cost, or platform fee, though payment processing fees apply. For recurring donations, a 3% platform fee applies from the second payment when the donor tip is collected only on the first payment. Users cannot disable the donor tip option. Organizers are identity-verified before payout, and support is available by chat, email, or scheduled phone appointments seven days a week from 9 AM to 5 PM CET.
