WesterAudio
WesterAudio is a free browser toolkit for recording, remote collaboration, and mixing podcasts or voice projects.
What WesterAudio is
WesterAudio is a free browser toolkit for recording, remote collaboration, and mixing podcasts or voice projects. Solo Superstar records one track and exports WAV or MP3 files or sends the recording to Mix Master. Collab Crew lets up to three people record separately on their own devices with a four-character room code. Mix Master provides a multitrack timeline, parametric EQ, noise reduction, an effects rack, and export controls. It can stream a large WAV file from disk while editing or work with smaller sections, and browser autosave protects work after a refresh. WesterAudio works in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, and recording can start without an account. The solo recording page says microphone audio is never stored. Full Mix Master editing requires a tablet or desktop. Finished files can be uploaded to podcast hosts such as Spotify for Creators, Transistor, and Buzzsprout, but built-in RSS distribution and podcast publishing are not provided.
