What Symbaloo is

Symbaloo is a homepage and bookmark manager for finding, saving, organizing, and sharing online resources. Its customizable Webmix grids hold links to websites, tools, files, and widgets, and can be shared by URL or embed code. Webmixes can also include videos, RSS feeds, weather widgets, and document links. Educators can use Learning Paths to assemble tile-based digital lessons with embedded resources and activities such as multiple-choice and open questions. Schools can connect OneRoster systems such as Clever and Classlink to keep classes and student rosters synchronized. Symbaloo offers a free, ad-supported plan, a free trial, and paid plans: Personal Premium is $34.95 a year, Classroom is $69 a year, Library is $699 a year, and Schools & Districts is $999 a year. It is available on the web and as a browser extension; mobile apps are no longer available in app stores, though the website can be added to an iOS or Android home screen. Symbaloo says it generally does not collect or store student data or sell personal student information, and that Webspaces are COPPA compliant with a child-safe mode.
