What SightSinger is

SightSinger is a web service that turns MusicXML sheet music into singing audio demos through a natural-language chat workflow. It is intended for score-led work rather than generating songs from text prompts. Choir and worship leaders can create section references and part-learning demos, including separate SATB parts; teachers, songwriters, arrangers, and independent singers are also among its intended users. SightSinger recommends MusicXML files exported from MuseScore, Finale, Sibelius, Dorico, or Logic Pro. Its multi-track player can highlight the score during playback, handle repeats and endings, control each track’s mute, solo, and volume, change instrument sounds, and download mixes. Users can add movable-do or fixed-do solfege, including la-based or do-based minor options. The service says it detects lyric language and lists support for Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Japanese, Thai, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and European Portuguese. AI voices have voice-specific language and style support. Vocal audio costs one credit per 30 seconds for each vocal part each time it is rendered; MIDI accompaniment uses one credit per two minutes per uploaded score.

Good

  • Creates choir section references and part-learning demos.
  • Player supports score highlighting, repeats, and endings.
  • Supports movable-do and fixed-do solfege.
  • Offers a free plan with monthly resetting credits.

Watch out

  • Requires MusicXML score input.
  • Free plan has limited AI voices.
  • Vocal rendering consumes credits for each part and render.
  • Not intended for full studio production.

Who it suits

SightSinger suits choir and worship leaders, music teachers, songwriters, arrangers, and independent singers working from sheet music. It is for score-led demos and rehearsal tracks, not full studio production or creating songs from text prompts.

Verdict

SightSinger is aimed at turning an existing MusicXML score into vocal demos and rehearsal materials, with controls for parts and playback. Its credit use and score-led focus are important considerations for regular or open-ended production.
