Setlist Metronome
Setlist Metronome is an iOS metronome for bands that need to follow song-specific tempos through a performance.
What Setlist Metronome is
Setlist Metronome is an iOS metronome for bands that need to follow song-specific tempos through a performance. Create setlists, add songs from the shared library, reorder them, or duplicate a set. Each song can have a BPM, a 4/4, 3/4, or 6/8 time signature, and a count-in set to off, one bar, or two bars. Tap tempo is available. During playback, a click and white screen pulse mark each beat. The app also supports page-turner Bluetooth pedals in Mode 5 (Space/Enter): the left pedal moves to the previous song and the right to the next, with fixed controls. Setlists work offline without an account or internet connection. Songs, settings, setlists, and pedal mappings remain in a local SQLite database on the device, with no external backup. Setlists cannot sync across band members, and import and export are not available. Bluetooth headphones can add latency; wired audio is recommended for accurate timing because there is no latency-correction setting yet. The app is free, and its current feature set will stay free.
Good
- Works offline without an account.
- Supports tap tempo and three time signatures.
- Setlists can be reordered and duplicated.
- No personal information is collected or shared.
Watch out
- Setlists do not sync between band members.
- Import and export are unavailable.
- Bluetooth headphones add latency; no correction setting exists.
- Data has no external backup.
Who it suits
It suits iOS musicians who want to organize song tempos and move through a setlist with a supported page-turner pedal. Bands needing shared setlist syncing or export and import should note those features are unavailable.
Verdict
Setlist Metronome covers setlist-based tempo control with offline use and pedal support. Its local-only storage and lack of setlist syncing, export, and import are important limits for bands sharing arrangements.
