What SBS Learn is
SBS Learn is a free web library of Australian Curriculum-aligned resources for teachers and educators. Its materials cover Foundation through Year 12 and connect to curriculum priorities, capabilities, and learning areas, including English, mathematics, science, humanities and social sciences, and the arts. Teachers can browse by subject and year, then download, save, and share lesson plans, activities, classroom materials, and classroom-friendly clips. Curated short videos from SBS and NITV include guided questions, activities, and curriculum links to support classroom discussion and critical thinking. SBS Learn focuses on multicultural and First Nations educational content. Its Alone Australia resource, for example, includes collaborative activities, discussion questions, research tasks, differentiated scaffolds, and outdoor learning activities. The service is SBS’s schools-based education arm and has developed teacher resources since 2015. Some materials may become unavailable when related SBS or NITV content leaves its licence period; teachers seeking full-episode classroom viewing are directed to ClickView or their school’s resource centre.
