Rentsoft is a web-based property management platform for independent landlords and property managers. Its free core service covers listings, screening, applications, leases, and rent collection, with no unit limit. Listings can be posted automatically to Zillow, HotPads, Trulia, and Apartments.com, with inquiries routed to a leads queue. Online applications support document uploads, lead scoring, automated follow-ups, and one-click approve or decline notifications. TransUnion-powered screening reports cover credit, criminal, and eviction history, with applicant consent. A report costs $30, paid once, paid by the tenant; managers receive unlimited screening requests and full report access for free. Rent payments can use ACH, debit, or credit cards, with reminders, late fees, a real-time ledger, and payment history. Renters can apply, pay, request repairs, and track rental information through a resident portal. Payment processing fees may apply. Rentsoft says it does not sell personal information and uses industry-standard safeguards, while noting that no system is completely secure. Its terms limit intended users to people in the United States who are at least 18 years old.
