What RenewShot is

RenewShot is an iPhone app for restoring old photos and editing other images. Its tools can repair scratches and fading, sharpen blurry faces, and colorize black-and-white photos; the lineup also includes Magic Eraser, Backdrop, Unblur, 4K Boost, Live Memory, Future Baby, and Pro Headshots. The workflow is to select a photo and tool, compare the result with the original, then save or share. An Apple, Google, or email sign-in is required before processing. The free plan costs nothing, billed forever, and allows two processing previews per month, but results stay locked, with no saving or sharing. PRO costs $49.99 a year and allows up to 200 photo renewals monthly, with monthly allowances for Live Memories, Future Baby, and headshot studios, plus 4K export and no watermark. RenewShot says it receives only selected photos and does not sell them or use third-party advertising SDKs. Ordinary uploads and generated results in its storage are scheduled to expire one day after upload; processing-provider copies follow the provider’s retention period. Pro Headshots can use selected selfies to train a personal style model that may be stored for more headshots, and deletion requests must be emailed to support. RenewShot says it uses encrypted network connections and access controls. When damage covers a face, restoration may reconstruct details that differ from the original person.
