What Nexiel Screen is
Nexiel Screen is a standalone HTTP API for anti-money laundering, sanctions, and politically exposed person screening. Its self-hosted matching engine uses exact, full-text, Levenshtein fuzzy, and Double Metaphone phonetic methods; a fifth AI similarity layer remains in shadow mode. Sanctions lists include OFAC SDN, the UN Security Council Consolidated List, EU FISMA, and HMT UK, with daily refreshes. PEP screening combines OpenSanctions global data with direct connections to EU institutions and national legislative registries in 21 EU countries. Possible matches always go to a human reviewer and are never cleared automatically. Each decision records the engine version, list snapshot, and scoring weights for later re-derivation. With an evidence-pack key registered, Nexiel encrypts the pack to the customer's key and delivers it once without retaining the pack. Nexiel retains a decision row and related hashes; customers are responsible for keeping screening evidence. Official TypeScript and Python SDKs cover Screen and Verify API endpoints. A self-run sandbox uses synthetic data and needs no API key; production credentials require completing the KYB gate.
