MyShield
MyShield creates email aliases that forward messages to the real inbox associated with an account, hiding that inbox address from senders.
What MyShield is
MyShield creates email aliases that forward messages to the real inbox associated with an account, hiding that inbox address from senders. Users can delete aliases to stop future mail; paid plans also offer pause and resume controls. Pro and Business users can reply from an alias through a Reply Route associated with the alias and original sender.
The service says aliases can forward to Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Apple Mail, ProtonMail, Fastmail and other email providers. Messages travel through a live delivery path without deliberate batching, though arrival time also depends on upstream and destination mail systems. Pro and Business support custom-domain aliases, which require MX, ownership-verification TXT and DKIM TXT DNS records. These aliases forward to the account address rather than independently chosen inboxes.
The maker says message bodies and attachments are processed in memory and not stored, while routing metadata is retained. It describes AES-256 encryption at rest for destination email addresses and TLS 1.2 or higher for SMTP connections. MyShield is web-based. Its Free plan includes three private aliases; Pro costs 75 ZAR a month and Business costs 149 ZAR a month.

Who it suits
MyShield suits people who want to use email aliases to keep their main inbox address private from senders. Pro and Business may suit users who want custom-domain aliases or the ability to reply from an alias.
Verdict
