Mockup Hunt

Overview

Mockup Hunt is a free web directory for designers seeking Photoshop mockups for presenting finished work. It suits people who want to browse many visual formats without paying for a library; the main limitation is that the site points you to outside sources and does not edit files for you.

Key features

A search field and category structure cover apparel, brochures, magazines, devices, stationery, posters, packaging, signs, logos, branding, websites and animated mockups. That breadth is useful when a project needs a specific presentation context, from a phone screen to retail packaging, while categories make the collection more practical than an unfiltered download list.

The collection is described as hand-curated and updated weekly. Individual entries identify Photoshop or PSD downloads and name originating sites such as Freemockupzone, Mrmockup, Freepsdtemplates, Graphberry and Pixeden. Source labels help you judge where a file comes from, but the download itself is on the external creator's website. Mockup Hunt's terms disclaim responsibility for third-party materials and sites, so the destination's licensing and reliability remain your responsibility.

Blank mockups are presented as suitable for showcasing designs and easy to edit. In practice, the PSD format favors designers already comfortable with Photoshop-compatible workflows; there is no browser-based editor described. The contact page accepts broken-link reports, business or advertising inquiries and feature requests, but explicitly does not provide editing assistance. Users may contribute images made with featured templates only when they own all rights and follow restrictions against nudity, violent or sensitive material, swear words, racism, copyrighted items and content harmful to human rights.

Pricing

Mockup Hunt uses a single free offer: “Free mockups” cost nothing. The files are listed for download, with each individual mockup linking to its source website. There is no paid tier or free trial, so the service is straightforward for occasional and professional discovery alike. The trade-off is that access to a particular file, its licensing terms and its continued availability depend on the external source.

Platforms

Mockup Hunt runs on the web. It is therefore a directory you open in a browser rather than a desktop or mobile editing application, and the PSD files still require compatible software outside the site.

Who it's for

Graphic designers, freelancers and students who need varied presentation scenes at no subscription cost are the natural audience. It is especially useful for assembling portfolio or client-showcase options across print, product, device and branding work.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Broad coverage: Numerous object and design categories make it easier to locate a context-specific mockup.
• Regular curation: The collection is hand-curated and updated weekly, giving the directory an ongoing discovery role.
• Clear source attribution: Listings identify external creators, helping you trace a file back to its origin.
• No access fee: Every listed free mockup is listed as free.

Cons

• External downloads: You leave Mockup Hunt for the actual file, with third-party terms and availability outside its control.
• PSD-only workflow: The stated format is Photoshop or PSD, not an in-browser editing project.
• No editing support: Contact assistance covers links, business matters and requests, not help modifying mockups.
• Service guarantees are limited: The terms do not warrant secure or error-free use.
