MemeForge
MemeForge is a browser-based meme generator for adding captions to templates or images you upload.
What MemeForge is
MemeForge is a browser-based meme generator for adding captions to templates or images you upload. Its home page offers 26 templates, and its editor lets you move and resize caption boxes, change font or colour, and add text boxes to your own images. Finished memes download as PNG files; the displayed example is 1024×1024 pixels and has no watermark. AI can suggest captions for a selected template or recommend three suitable formats from a described situation. The Free plan costs nothing, requires no signup, and allows five AI suggestions each day, resetting every 24 hours. The site says image processing happens in the browser and uploaded images are not sent to its servers or AI services. For AI suggestions, however, the selected template and its context are sent through Vercel AI Gateway to an upstream provider identified as OpenAI. MemeForge describes offline use through its progressive web app and supports phone creation and sharing to WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messages.
Good

Watch out
- AI suggestions are limited to five per day
- AI caption requests send template and context to an upstream provider
- Commercial use is not allowed

Who it suits
It suits casual creators, influencers, and marketers who want template-based meme editing with optional AI captions. It can also suit phone users who want to share finished memes through the listed messaging and social apps.
Verdict
MemeForge combines manual caption editing with a limited daily allowance of AI suggestions. Its browser-based image processing and offline PWA description may suit privacy-conscious or occasional creators, but AI requests involve sending template context to an upstream provider.
