IP Fabric
IP Fabric is an application-aware network digital twin for on-premises and cloud environments.
What IP Fabric is
IP Fabric is an application-aware network digital twin for on-premises and cloud environments. It discovers neighboring on-premises devices and cloud objects through agentless, API-native discovery that starts from a single IP address. The platform builds a vendor-neutral model covering devices, objects, dependencies, configurations, protocols, paths and vendor boundaries. It can simulate network paths from Layer 1 through Layer 3 to critical applications.
Users can run snapshots, end-to-end path lookups, intent checks and pre- and post-change validation. IP Fabric operates read-only and does not automatically change the environment; read-only access is sufficient for discovery, and SNMP collection is not required. It is self-hosted on a dedicated virtual machine and compatible with air-gapped networks. The 30-day fully functional trial supports up to 100 network devices and is provided as virtual-machine images. Maintained integrations include an MCP server, NetBox, the Python SDK, ServiceNow and Splunk’s technology add-on. The paid annual subscription has pricing on request and is based on active devices and cloud objects, plus a support package. Standard, advanced and premium support packages include 24/7 support.
Good
- Agentless discovery starts from a single IP.
- Models devices, paths and dependencies.
- Simulates paths through Layer 3.
- Read-only access is sufficient for discovery.
- 30-day trial supports up to 100 devices.
Watch out
- No free plan is listed.
- Trial is limited to 30 days and 100 devices.
- Pricing is available on request.
- Requires self-hosted virtual-machine deployment.
Who it suits
IP Fabric suits network teams that need to model on-premises and cloud environments, inspect paths or validate changes. Its read-only operation may suit teams that want discovery without automated environment changes.
Verdict
IP Fabric focuses on network discovery, modeling and path validation while keeping operations read-only. Its trial limit and self-hosted deployment are key considerations, and subscription pricing requires an inquiry.
