Inciteful is a free web tool that uses citation networks to help researchers discover academic literature. Paper Discovery builds a network around selected papers and surfaces related papers, authors, and institutions; results can be filtered by keyword, distance, and year. The Literature Connector creates an interactive visualization of citation paths between two papers, a feature intended for interdisciplinary scholars and people entering a new research area. Inciteful says its database covers more than 240 million academic papers and indexes more than 2 billion citations, drawing on OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, Crossref, and OpenCitations. Researchers can import a BibTeX file to seed a graph, but imported entries need a DOI. Findings can be exported in BibTeX format or to Zotero, Mendeley, or another reference manager.
