Impinj RAIN RFID Software is a family of tools for managing and configuring edge devices and processing data from smart items. Speedway Connect lets users remotely configure Impinj readers or gateways through a web interface and access RAIN RFID data, including inventory, location, and direction information. ItemEncode uses pipelined Impinj Speedway readers to encode up to 9,500 RAIN RFID tags per minute. It supports tags made with Impinj or other RAIN RFID chips, multiple serialization and encoding schemes, and encoding verification; machine licenses are currently supported by Impinj Speedway readers. The Impinj Authentication Service uses cloud-based, standards-based cryptographic methods to authenticate supported tag chips and provides an API for authentication requests and secure access for product authentication providers. Impinj says its Authenticity solution can verify hundreds of items in seconds, with read ranges from a few centimeters to 10 meters. Partner software addresses inventory, asset tracking, shipment tracking, and work-in-process tracking.
