Google Cloud Run
Google Cloud Run is a fully managed platform for running code, functions, and containers on Google’s infrastructure.
What Google Cloud Run is
Google Cloud Run is a fully managed platform for running code, functions, and containers on Google’s infrastructure. Workloads can run as services, jobs, worker pools, or instances, with automatic scaling up and down from zero. For supported languages, Google Cloud buildpacks can build and deploy source code without a Dockerfile. Cloud Run also supports hosting large language models and real-time AI inference using GPUs. It is available through API, Linux, and web, and integrates with Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Deploy, Google Cloud Observability, Firestore, Spanner, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Memorystore, BigQuery, and Secret Manager. Service endpoints use TLS termination and encrypted channels to the appropriate region. Containers must use the Linux x86_64 ABI and are isolated with Linux namespaces and security profiles. Requests can last up to 60 minutes; instances can use up to 32 GiB memory and 8 vCPU. A free plan and trial are available, with $300 in credits for new customers.
