Gibbed Save Editor is a free Windows utility for editing save files in Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Mass Effect 2. The Borderlands 2 editor can change characters, gear, currencies, and data in its Raw tab. The Mass Effect 2 editor handles credits, resources, Paragon and Renegade points, character details, squad and loyalty, and decisions imported from Mass Effect 1; it does not provide deep face or appearance sculpting. Steam and Epic PC saves use the same format and can be opened, edited, and saved without extra tools. Console save workflows are more involved because saves are encrypted and signed, requiring decryption before editing and re-encryption and re-signing afterward. The maker advises backing up saves first, since overwriting one with a bad edit can break it. Download links on the official site lead to Rick Gibbed’s GitHub releases, and the site says it hosts no files. The maker says the source code is public and describes antivirus detections of the genuine download as false positives. Borderlands 2 version 1.0.46 is identified as the final official release; no editor exists for Borderlands 3.
