Floodtide
Floodtide is a macOS application updater that scans supported apps and gathers available updates in one place.
What Floodtide is
Floodtide is a macOS application updater that scans supported apps and gathers available updates in one place. It runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Sources include Sparkle feeds, Floodtide’s signed catalog, Electron feeds, Homebrew Cask, GitHub Releases, and the Mac App Store. Scheduled checks can place an update count in the menu bar, and Floodtide can install updates the user has approved. Before replacement, it checks a download by checksum or code signature and requires the same Apple developer identity as the installed app. Replaced versions can be retained for three days, one week, two weeks, or one month, then restored with Undo Last Update. The coverage page lists 4,795 apps. Scanning remains free after the 14-day trial, while installing requires a license. Licenses cost £10.99 once for three Macs or £19.99 once for ten Macs; business pricing for more than ten Macs requires contact. Inventory stays local by default, and advertising data sharing is not used.

Who it suits
Floodtide suits Mac users who want scheduled checks, centralized installation, and rollback for supported applications. It also fits households or small groups covered by three- or ten-Mac licenses.
Verdict
Floodtide centralizes Mac update discovery and adds verification and rollback controls. Its free scanning tier is useful, while installation coverage depends on supported apps and a paid license.
