What Factum is

Factum is a legal research, drafting and document review service covering consolidated law across 28 European jurisdictions. Its legislation library includes national laws and bylaws, EU law, and amendments incorporated into the text currently in force. Answers cite the article behind a legal claim and point to the applicable consolidated text. Users can create contracts, appeals and other legal documents from templates, or request explanations and edits to selected text. Table Review processes selected documents in parallel, cites source passages and exports results to XLSX, DOCX or CSV. Factum is available on macOS, Windows and the web. Its Word add-in supports research, drafting and clause checks in Word for Windows, Mac and web. The service lists integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar, and an MCP server that connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, VS Code and other compatible clients. Factum says it is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, encrypts data at rest and in transit, and separates clients with row-level security. It says customer data is not used to train AI models and offers an option to keep data on the user’s device. A 14-day trial is listed; there is no free plan. Annual prices include Standard at €595 a year, Pro at €980 a year and Team at €2,455 a year. Business pricing is custom.
