What Docker Scout is

Docker Scout is a software-as-a-service tool for scanning Docker images and registries and generating software bills of materials (SBOMs). These capabilities help users inspect image contents and create an inventory of included software. Docker Scout is available on Linux, macOS, Windows, and the web, with a free plan and four named tiers. Personal covers one user and one Docker Scout-enabled repository; Pro covers one user and two enabled repositories. Team allows up to 100 users and unlimited enabled repositories, while Business has no user cap and also allows unlimited enabled repositories. The plan distinctions are therefore based on user and repository allowances rather than listed costs. Organizations comparing the options can consider the size of their team and the number of repositories they need to scan.
