Conloca
Conloca is a free, open-source content management system made specifically for Astro websites.
What Conloca is
Conloca is a free, open-source content management system made specifically for Astro websites. Editors work in a browser-based visual editor powered by Puck, using drag-and-drop components to build and update pages. Content is stored as VXJSON files in the project’s Git repository, with no database or external service dependency. Changes create Git commits with author attribution, which teams can review, compare, and revert. The system supports separate content for configured locales and MDX, which combines Markdown with components. It includes live preview and a media library. If editors change the same page at once, ETag-based conflict detection opens a resolution dialog. To reduce the chance of leaving a partly written target after a crash, Conloca writes to a temporary file before renaming it atomically. It runs on Bun and can be deployed in Docker, on a VPS with systemd, or behind a Cloudflare Tunnel. Cloudflare Access authentication with JWT validation is available out of the box. Conloca is self-hosted; support for frameworks beyond Astro is not on its current roadmap.
