What CodeKeep is

CodeKeep is a web and extension-based service for organizing, sharing, and discovering code snippets. Selecting “Paste” on a website opens an Add Snippet dialog for capturing a snippet. Users can group snippets into folders, share folders, bookmark folders from other users, and create labels to filter their collections. A discovery area offers snippets shared for reuse, and the site has dark mode. Its screenshot editor includes templates, image and background additions, and social accounts. CodeKeep says its VS Code and Google Chrome extensions can import and export snippets. The Free plan is free and includes unlimited public snippets, up to 40 folders, and up to 20 bookmarks, but does not include private snippets or private folders; screenshots have a watermark. Pro costs $4.99 a month and adds unlimited private snippets, folders, and bookmarks, private folders, folder icons, and screenshots without a watermark. The privacy policy says personal information is retained only as long as necessary and protected using commercially acceptable means. It says personally identifying information is not shared publicly or with third parties except when required by law.
