Cambridge Aspire
Cambridge Aspire brings academic content and learning materials together for instructors and students.
What Cambridge Aspire is
Cambridge Aspire brings academic content and learning materials together for instructors and students. Its Institutional eTextbook Collection offers access to over 1,000 Cambridge eTextbooks through an institutional subscription, while individuals can purchase specific titles with perpetual access. Instructors have a three-month subject eTextbook Collection trial at no cost.
Cambridge Spiral is available on web, desktop, and mobile, and lets readers download textbooks for offline use. It supports bookmarks, highlights, annotations, and links; readers can manage and review notes in the Annotations tab. Instructor annotations are available through custom group mode. Text-to-speech turns eCollection textbook titles into audio, and the eReader allows copying and printing up to 20% of a textbook.
Libraries can provide access through IP verification, Shibboleth, or Athens. Online read-only access does not include annotations, bookmarks, or offline reading. The website supports LTI 1.1 links to books or chapters in Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas, DSL, and Sakai courses. Pricing is available on request; there is no free plan, and a free trial is offered.
