Azure Database Migration Service

What Azure Database Migration Service is

Azure Database Migration Service is a web-based SaaS service for moving databases. It supports database migration and continuous replication, allowing changes to keep moving during the migration process. The service uses a freemium model and includes a free plan. Discovery and assessment are not supported, and dependency mapping is also not listed as available. That makes the service focused on the movement and ongoing replication of database data rather than preliminary environment analysis. The web platform provides the stated access model, while SaaS describes its deployment. Teams can select among the listed compute sizes according to their migration arrangement, with Standard offering three sizes and Premium offering one. The service is presented under Microsoft Azure and is intended for database migration workflows.
