Amazon Textract AnalyzeExpense extracts financial information from invoices and receipts for use in downstream applications.
What Amazon Textract AnalyzeExpense is
Amazon Textract AnalyzeExpense extracts financial information from invoices and receipts for use in downstream applications. Its results can group line items and provide summary fields such as purchased items, prices, receipt headers, and vendor names. The API can normalize field names and column headers to make information from different documents easier to compare, and it can identify a vendor by its logo or extract items, quantities, and prices even without labels. Documents can be supplied as image bytes or an Amazon S3 object. AWS advises using PDF, JPG, or PNG files; processing is English only. AnalyzeExpense is synchronous, while asynchronous processing uses StartExpenseAnalysis and GetExpenseAnalysis. The maximum file size is 500 MB. New AWS customers have an AWS Free Tier offer for three months, up to 100 pages per month. AWS describes encryption in transit and at rest and an Organizations opt-out for use of inputs to improve its technologies.
