Using an AI music generator is not automatically permission to use its output commercially, claim copyright in it, imitate a real singer, or upload it without disclosure. Check the generator’s terms for the plan active when you create the track, get consent for identifiable voices or performances, and check the rules of the service where you will publish it. In the United States, the Copyright Office says material generated entirely by AI is not copyrightable; human-authored parts of a mixed work may be protected, and prompts alone do not make the user its author. U.S. Copyright Office
For Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO users making music on a phone, the practical habit is simple: keep the prompt, the plan and date, the downloaded license or certificate if offered, and the final edit together. A track that is cleared for one use by a generator may still raise questions about a recognizable voice, borrowed source audio, or a platform’s upload and monetization rules.

What Rights Do You Actually Need To Check?
- Permission to use the output: A vendor may grant commercial use on some plans and limit free or lower-tier work to personal use. That permission is governed by its terms; it does not necessarily mean you own copyright in every AI-generated element.
- Copyright protection: Under the U.S. Copyright Office’s January 2025 report, a prompt alone is not enough to make a person the author of AI-generated material. Human-authored contributions in a mixed work may be protectable. If you register a work containing more than a minimal amount of AI-generated material, applicants must disclose it and describe the human author’s contribution. U.S. Copyright Office
- Voice and source material: A commercial-use label is not consent from a singer whose voice you imitate, nor does it establish permission to upload a copyrighted song as a reference. Avoid identifiable voice imitation and unlicensed source audio unless you have the necessary permission. Suno, for example, describes its paid tracks as available for broad use, but Spotify says vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it. Suno Spotify policy announcement coverage
- Publishing rules: A generator’s license does not guarantee that YouTube or a music service will accept, monetize, or identify a track in a particular way. YouTube requires disclosure for realistic altered or synthetic content that could be mistaken for a real person’s performance. Its inauthentic-content policy addresses mass-produced, repetitive, or template-based uploads, rather than AI use by itself. YouTube policy clarification coverage YouTube monetization policy timeline
How To Make A Lower-Risk Track On Your Xiaomi Phone
- Write an original brief. Describe the musical elements you want—such as tempo feel, instrumentation, mood, structure, and intended use—in your own terms. For example: “Create an original instrumental loop for a short phone-shot travel video: gentle electronic percussion, warm synth chords, no vocals, no recognizable melody, and a clean ending.” This is a prompt example, not a promise that a particular generator supports loops, duration controls, or those exact settings.
- Keep people and recordings out unless cleared. Do not ask for a named singer’s voice or upload a commercial track as a reference without permission. If a tool offers voice cloning or reference audio, confirm whose voice or recording you may use and what the tool’s terms allow. A feature being available does not establish consent.
- Check the plan before generation. Read the generator’s current terms for commercial use, attribution, downloads, and the point at which the license applies. Save the plan name and date with the project. If you cannot establish the right you need from the vendor’s published terms, ask the vendor or choose another route.
- Add and preserve your own contribution. Keep records of lyrics, melody, arrangement, performance, and editing you create yourself. Save project versions and exports on your phone or cloud storage. These records can help show what you contributed; they do not guarantee copyright protection.
- Check the destination before posting. Review the current upload, monetization, and synthetic-content disclosure rules for the service you plan to use. Label realistic synthetic performances where required, and avoid mass-uploading near-identical tracks.
What The Listed Generators Establish About Licensing
These examples have published information relevant to rights, but the terms differ. “Commercial use” below describes the stated vendor position; it is not a conclusion that a track is copyrightable or that every source, voice, or destination is cleared.
| Generator | Stated rights or limitation | What to verify before use |
|---|---|---|
| Suno | Its site says paid-subscriber songs can be used broadly, including as video background music or on an album. Its Free Plan does not include commercial rights; the Pro plan’s stated commercial-use rights apply to that plan. | Confirm the plan active when the song was created and current terms. Suno’s listed mobile availability includes Android; Studio access is limited to Premier. |
| Eleven Music | The site says tracks are cleared for broad commercial use, while also saying commercial rights vary by subscription tier. The directory notes exclusions for film, TV, and studio games. | Check the applicable tier and terms for the exact project, especially those excluded uses. Access is listed through web and API. |
| Soundverse AI Beat Maker | The site calls its beats royalty-ready and says a commercial license is available. Its Creator & Pro plan lists commercial licenses; the Free Tier starts with 1,000 tokens upon signup. | Confirm the license attached to the chosen plan and download. The listed service has web, iOS, and Android availability. |
| Loudly | The site describes generated music as commercially licensed and says a commercial license is included. The directory notes that paid licensing rights depend on plan terms. | Check the current plan terms and the permitted use for your intended release. The listed service is web-based. |
| Mureka | The site says downloaded tracks have full commercial rights across platforms and projects. | Check current terms, the relevant plan, and whether your intended use has additional conditions. Do not assume the stated license grants rights to a reference recording or an imitated voice. |
| Musicful | The site says downloads receive a non-exclusive, perpetual license, while Musicful retains ownership. It says commercial use is available and a commercial license certificate is provided; the directory limits commercial use to Standard/Pro, with Free/Basic non-commercial. | Confirm your plan qualifies and retain the certificate. The service lists iOS and Android apps as well as web access. |
| Songin.ai | The site says paid-plan music can be used commercially; its plan descriptions distinguish personal use, no commercial rights, and full commercial rights. Free downloads are listed as watermarked MP3s for personal use only. | Confirm which plan applies to the track and what its current terms allow. The listed service is web-only. |
| Tunee | The site says generated songs and videos have a commercial license and belong to the user, while also noting copyright law is evolving and copyright protection cannot be guaranteed. Free music is for personal projects with attribution. | Check the terms for your plan and intended use, and provide attribution on free creations. Listed platforms include web, iOS, and macOS. |
| Sunp | The site says commercial usage is on paid plans and identifies paid plans as the path for commercial publishing, certificate access, and repeatable project use under its current License Agreement. | Review the rights before the track leaves your workspace, as the vendor advises. The listed service is web-only. |
| CreateSong AI | Downloads and commercial use follow the plan active at generation time. The directory says monthly plans are personal and non-commercial, while commercial rights apply only to generations made during an annual-plan term. | Check the plan and generation date, plus the Terms, License Agreement, and Pricing. The site says processing requires a paid plan. |
| OpenMusic AI | The site says tracks are royalty-free, cleared for commercial use, and come with a license. | Keep the license and check the current plan terms for downloads and commercial use. The listed service is web-only. |
| AI Game Music Generator | The site describes its game music as royalty-free and says downloads include a commercial license; it also says songs are owned by aigamemusic. | Read the license for your specific project and confirm what rights you receive as a user. The stated ownership means you should not assume you own the generated song. |
What To Do About Covers, Cloned Voices, And Uploaded References
Rights for a generated track do not settle rights in a recognizable person’s voice, an existing song, or an uploaded recording. Get consent from the relevant person before imitating their voice, and permission from the rights holder before using protected music or recordings as source material. Review each generator’s terms for reference audio, voice cloning, covers, and output. The available product information does not establish a blanket permission for any of those uses.

A vendor’s commercial license can describe what the vendor allows, but it cannot by itself establish that an output is copyrightable, that an input was authorized, or that a streaming or video service will accept the track for a particular use. The U.S. Copyright Office’s guidance is specifically about U.S. copyright; rules elsewhere may differ. For a consequential release or a disputed right, consult a qualified legal professional in the relevant jurisdiction.
