Redmi has twisted naming for the Indian market compared to the rest of the world. The Redmi 9 is actually a Redmi 9C which is available in the western market. The phone is the successor of the Redmi 8 and comes under the INR 10,000 price bracket. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 Soc, 4GB RAM, and runs Android 10 out of the box.
The Redmi 9 on the rear packs a 13MP primary camera and a second 2MP camera which is a depth sensor. There is also a 5MP sensor on the front for taking selfies. The phone runs MIUI 12, provides a triple-slot tray, and comes in a plethora of colors. Looking at the other Redmi, Realme, and Poco phones at this price point, we wouldn’t really suggest forking around INR 8,000 for this phone.
