The company however stated the CIVI successor will initially be launched in China only following which it might be launched in international markets sometime later. What that means is there is no surety the smartphone will see an international launch.
Meanwhile, ahead of the September 27 reveal, the CIVI 2 has been leaked online in a Tweet message by user Mirei which provides us a clear idea of what the phone is going to look like. As has been revealed in the live images, the CIVI 2 is seen sporting a unique wavy pattern on the rear with only the vertical rectangular camera module along the top left breaking the monotony. The camera module again is dominated by a large circular holding which hosts two camera sensors while the third sensor is placed at the bottom on the side of the LED flash. The Xiaomi branding is printed along the bottom left below the camera module.
The front features super thin bezels with only the chin being that tad bit thicker. On the top lies a capsule sized punch hole which reminds me of the iPhone 14 launched just days back. However, it is not known what sensors are included that have necessitated an extended pill shaped hole at the top. In any case, what the image also reveals is the presence of an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Coming to specs, the Xiaomi CIVI 2 is touted to come with a 6.56-inch OLED FHD+ display having a 120 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset that could be coupled with up to 12 GB of RAM along with up to 256 GB of internal storage. Also, it is expected to be LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage to allow for top-notch performance. Powering the device is a 4,500 mAh battery backed by 67W fast charging support.

About the camera, it likely is going to be a 50 MP primary sensor at the rear with Optical Image Stabilization along with an 8 MP ultra wide angle lens and a 2 MP macro sensor. The front could be getting a pair of 32 MP shooters for selfies and video chats. The phone is expected to run MIUI 13 which is based on Android 12.
