There are reports circulating about Xiaomi launching a new Mi 10 phone, powered by the Snapdragon 870. Now the company has officially confirmed these rumors. The new phone will be called the Mi 10S and will join the last year’s flagship Mi 10 series.
From the launch posters that were shared on the social media platforms, it evidently clear that this new Mi 10S will feature a design to what we saw on Mi 10 Ultra. There will also be a 108MP camera, similar to the Mi 10 series. The new Mi 10S from the looks of it will sport an E4 AMOLED curved display, possibly with a 120Hz refresh rate. We can see a quad-camera setup on the back, and while we don’t have exact info on other senors, apart from the main 108MP, it is safe to assume that there will be an ultra-wide, depth, and macro sensor.
Xiaomi could position Mi 10S globally with competitive pricing. As for the internals, the phone will feature up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS3.0 storage. This will also be the second smartphone from the Xiaomi group to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. Moving to the battery, we expect to see a 4,800mAh cell here with support for 33W fast charging. The phone should run Android 11 with MIUI 12 on top right out of the box with the MIUI 12.5 update dropping soon.
The Mi 10S will be launched in three colors Blue, Black, and white, and should come at a starting price of 3,299 yuan. We should hear more on this tomorrow at the official launch.
