We saw Xiaomi announce the Mi Smart Band 6 globally early this week. The band has already started selling in the China market and will soon be on sale in the European market.
The brand today updated the Mi Fit companion app and in the changelog there is mention of a new Sleep Breathing Quality feature. There isn’t much known about this feature, other than the fact that this update is also avaiable in the Indian market. This also proves the theories that we could see the brand announce the Mi Band 6 in the Indian market at the April 23rd launch.
It ws said at the launch that the band 6 will be able to track this and a more detailed sleep tracking metric should be expected in the future. For a refresher, the Mi Smart Band 6 inherits all the basic design and functionality traits from the band 5 but sports a larger display, better sensors and more activity tracking modes.
The band is sold in China at a starting price of 229 Yuan and for 44 Euros in the Eurpoean markets. As for India, we expect the band to be priced well under INR 3,000 to challenge the competetion. This new sleep breathing quality feature is available on the Mi Fit app version 5.0.0, so if you get your hands on a Mi Band 6, do not forget to update the app to the latest version.
