Overview

Tier Flock is a web tool for making and sharing tier lists across a wide range of subjects. It is best suited to people who want to compare opinions or turn ranking into a group activity, rather than simply sort items into a private list.

Key features

Four ranking modes give the format some range: Classic drag-and-drop suits deliberate sorting, while Quick Rank, timed Challenge, and single-elimination Tournament offer more structured ways to make comparisons. That variety can make a ranking session more engaging, but is unnecessary overhead for anyone who only wants a straightforward tier chart.

Community rankings show both the most common tier for each item and a heatmap of how opinions are distributed. The consensus view is useful for spotting agreement and disagreement without pretending every participant chose the same tier. Templates support images, custom tier labels and colors, and bulk smart import, which helps creators prepare lists with a distinct look or many items.

Finished rankings can be shared by link, exported as PNG, embedded as an interactive widget, or compared through a diff tool. That makes Tier Flock a more flexible publishing and comparison option than a tool limited to a static image. Public publishing, custom tier labels, custom images, and embed code are supported.

No account is needed to create rankings. An optional free account saves them across devices and tracks ranking history, making registration worthwhile for people who return to their lists. The site is responsive on phones, tablets, and desktops, with ranking modes optimized for touch screens.

Pricing

Tier Flock has one plan: Free at 0.00 USD per free. It includes unlimited templates and rankings, no account requirement, no ads, and no paywalls. There is no free trial because the plan is free. With no paid tier, there is no subscription renewal to weigh; the trade-off is that users seeking a paid upgrade or additional plan choices will need another product.

The privacy policy says accounts and tier lists are stored in PostgreSQL hosted on Neon, uploaded images in Cloudflare R2, and the app on Vercel. The maker says personal data is not sold or used for advertising and cookies are used only for authentication. It also cautions that absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Tier Flock is not intended for children under 13, and the maker says it does not knowingly collect their personal information. Tensor Wave Inc. builds and maintains the service; its FAQ directs questions and inappropriate-content reports to hey@tierflock.com.

Platforms

Tier Flock runs on the web. Its responsive design and touch-optimized ranking modes make it usable across phones, tablets, and desktops, but it is not presented as a native mobile app.

Who it's for

Choose Tier Flock if you want a free, account-optional way to make public or personal tier lists, collect community opinions, or share rankings in more than one format. It is less compelling for someone who only needs a basic list, or who requires a native app on Android or iOS.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited templates and rankings on the free plan remove list-count limits for frequent creators.
Pro: PNG export, embeds, link sharing, and ranking comparison suit both casual sharing and publishing.
Pro: Optional accounts preserve rankings across devices and track history without making registration a prerequisite.
Con: Web-only access rules it out for readers who want a dedicated Android or iOS app.
Con: Its multiple ranking modes and community consensus features may be more than a user needs for a simple personal list.
Con: The maker acknowledges that data cannot be guaranteed absolutely secure.
