Overview

Vetted combines product recommendations, ratings and reviews, comparisons, and price tracking. It says it draws on Reddit, CNET, Wirecutter, Tom's Guide, and YouTube, and offers shopping advice for Amazon, Sephora, Google, and Best Buy. Source citations let shoppers trace recommendations back to their inputs, while review summaries are intended to bring potential dealbreakers into view.

This is a useful mix for narrowing a shortlist and weighing price alongside product feedback. Vetted aims to speed up shopping research, but its recommendations are best treated as decision support rather than a replacement for judging which trade-offs matter to you.

Key features

Recommendations and review summaries

Recommendations draw on editorial, community, and video sources, giving shoppers more perspectives than a single retailer's reviews can provide. Ratings and summaries can help flag drawbacks before a purchase. That breadth is useful for considered buys, though shoppers who want to inspect every source themselves may still prefer to read the underlying material.

Comparisons and price tracking

Product comparisons help put options side by side, and price tracking is aimed at helping shoppers avoid overpaying. Together, these features address both what to buy and when to buy it. Vetted also offers shopping advice across several named retailers, rather than focusing solely on Amazon.

Mobile and Pro research

The iPhone app supports product discovery, summaries of expert and user reviews, comparisons, alternatives, and shopping questions. Pro adds Amazon price history and a deal finder; its YouTube analysis is also described as a Pro tool, with the app listing calling it coming soon. The 14-day Pro trial offers a way to assess the paid research tools before committing.

Pricing

Vetted is freemium, with a free plan and a 14-day trial for Pro. The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and provides the free-to-use service; it gives up the advanced research tools included with Pro. The paid plans are:

Vetted Pro Monthly Plan: 5.99 USD per month, billed Monthly. Includes Amazon Price History, Pro Deal Finder, and Pro YouTube Analysis.
Vetted Pro Yearly Plan: 59.99 USD per year, billed Yearly. Includes Amazon Price History, Pro Deal Finder, and Pro YouTube Analysis.

The monthly plan suits shoppers who want the Pro tools for a shorter stretch; the yearly plan is for those willing to pay annually for ongoing access. The trial lasts 14 days, and the stated plan descriptions do not give seat or usage quotas.

Platforms

Vetted supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, and a browser extension. That spread makes it a practical option for shoppers who want to move between mobile research and desktop browsing.

Who it's for

Vetted is a good fit for shoppers who compare products across multiple retailers and want recommendations, review summaries, citations, and price tracking in one service. It is less compelling for someone seeking only a free, simple product finder, or for a shopper whose main need is research beyond the Amazon-specific Pro price history and deal finder.

Pros and cons

Pros: Citations accompany its research, so shoppers can follow the sources behind recommendations.
Pros: Comparisons, review summaries, and price tracking address product choice and purchase timing together.
Pros: A free plan and a 14-day Pro trial make it possible to start without an upfront subscription.
Cons: Amazon price history and the deal finder require Pro, so shoppers wanting those tools must pay.
Cons: Pro YouTube analysis is described as coming soon in the app listing, so it should not be the main reason to subscribe now.

Alternatives

For other options, see AI Shopping Assistants. Consider ShopSavvy if you need a broader platform footprint, including API, Linux, and Windows support; its free plan is described as offering fast responses and a basic model, while a Starter plan costs 49.00 USD per month for 1,000 API credits. Choose KompareAI if a free shopping comparison option on iOS or Android is the priority. Alexa for Shopping is a free option for signed-in Amazon customers and does not require Prime membership.

AskToBuy AI is another free option, with Android, API, iOS, and web support. ShopCompare AI offers a free-to-use plan across Android, iOS, and web. Pick folk for shopping if you want an iOS-only alternative with free searching and price comparisons; price watching is excluded from its free plan, and Folk Pro costs 9.99 USD per. Phia is free on iOS, web, and as an extension. BuyingAdvisor is a free web option that requires no account.

Verdict

Choose Vetted if you want one service to help compare products, surface review drawbacks, and track prices across several shopping destinations. Its citations and combination of research tools make it a strong fit for shoppers who want more than a basic search. Look elsewhere if you need a different platform or want Amazon-focused price research without a Pro subscription.
