Overview

StealthWriter is a browser-based rewriting tool for people refining AI-assisted drafts, with an AI detector alongside its humanizer. It is best suited to writers and marketers who want adjustable rewrites and feedback in one service. Its useful combination comes with a firm caveat: rewrites can change meaning, and the service cannot properly be used to conceal authorship or evade review.

Key features

Three rewrite strengths—light, medium, and aggressive—let users choose between modest edits and broader rephrasing. That flexibility is helpful when polishing a draft, but stronger rewriting makes careful fact-checking especially important: StealthWriter advises reviewing output because details or claims can shift.

The detector estimates the likelihood that submitted text will be flagged as AI-generated and reports both an overall result and sentence-level feedback. That can help locate passages to reconsider, but it is feedback, not a guarantee about how another system will judge the writing. The public demo accepts up to 500 words per scan, recommends at least 100 words, and has daily limits.

StealthWriter says it supports drafts from tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral, Copilot, and Jasper. Its FAQ names Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch among supported languages. The free plan uses Ghost 5.2 Mini; paid plans add Ghost 5.2 Pro and Ghost Legacy.

The service runs in modern desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers, with no required download or extension. There is no public API. Submitted text is screened by a moderation tool, then processed or rejected; the privacy policy says it is not stored or used to train models, though infrastructure providers may receive it to operate the feature. The policy also describes encryption, access controls, security assessments, and GDPR and CCPA compliance.

Use is constrained by the acceptable-use policy: StealthWriter prohibits misrepresenting authorship or bypassing AI-detection, plagiarism, academic, workplace, or platform review systems. Support is available by email and phone weekdays, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Mountain Time, with a typical response within 24 business hours.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and allows 10 humanizations and 10 AI scans per day, up to 1,000 words per input, using Ghost 5.2 Mini. It is a practical way to assess the workflow, but the daily quotas and smaller input cap limit regular or longer-document use.

Starter costs 20.00 USD per month (billed $20 USD/mo) and raises the daily allowance to 50 humanizations and 50 scans, with 5,000 words per input and all three model families. It suits individual users who routinely outgrow the free limits. Plus costs 50.00 USD per month (billed $50 USD/mo) for 150 of each daily action; Pro costs 100.00 USD per month (billed $100 USD/mo) for 350. Both retain the same 5,000-word input ceiling and model selection, so their practical distinction is throughput.

Business costs 200.00 USD per month (billed $200 USD/mo) and Scale costs 400.00 USD per month (billed $400 USD/mo). They provide 800 and 2,000 daily humanizations and scans respectively, each with 5,000 words per input and priority team support. These tiers are aimed at heavier team workloads; the stated benefits do not include a larger per-input cap. Enterprise has custom pricing and a 5,000-word input limit.

Platforms

StealthWriter is available on Android, iOS, and the web. Its browser-based design avoids a required installation, but users seeking an extension, desktop app, or API should look elsewhere.

Who it's for

Writers, marketers, and other professionals polishing AI-assisted drafts are the clearest fit, particularly if they value selectable rewrite intensity and sentence-level detector feedback. It is less suitable for people who need dependable preservation of every claim without manual review, API integration, or a tool to disguise authorship or get around an institution's rules.

Pros and cons

Pro: Rewriting and AI-detection feedback are combined, so users can revise and inspect a draft in one browser service.
Pro: The free tier offers daily humanizations and scans, making it possible to try both core functions without a paid plan.
Con: Rewrites may alter details or claims, so output requires editorial review rather than automatic acceptance.
Con: The free tier caps inputs at 1,000 words and both actions at 10 per day; the 5,000-word paid input limit remains unchanged across paid tiers.
Con: No public API or required extension is available for users who need those workflows.

Verdict

Choose StealthWriter if you regularly refine AI-assisted writing and want rewrite intensity controls plus sentence-level detector feedback, with a free tier for modest daily use. Its main trade-off is that rewrites need careful review, while paid plans still cap each input at 5,000 words. Look elsewhere if you need an API, larger single-document inputs, or a service for evading authorship and review rules.
