Overview

Presel is a web-based toolkit that pairs RFP response management with document conversion and diagramming. It is best suited to bid managers, commercial teams, and solution architects who need an organized process for proposals. Its strongest case is the combination of structured bid work and reusable content; the free tier has no RFP projects or organization seats.

Key features

Bid Manager takes an RFP from intake through requirement extraction and mapping, evidence-backed drafting, quality gates, and controlled Word export. That workflow is useful for teams that need a managed response and review process, rather than just AI-generated copy. A reusable content library and approval workflow support consistent answers, though the Free plan's single knowledge base and 50 MB personal drive constrain how much material an individual can keep there.

Presel also converts Markdown to editable Word and PDF, and imports Word files back into Markdown. Its Mermaid and PlantUML editors can preview diagrams and include them in documents. These tools give the product uses beyond bid work, but they do not make the Free plan a substitute for a team proposal workspace: RFP projects and organization seats are excluded.

Users can connect their own Cursor, OpenAI, or Anthropic provider, or work offline. Optional LLM providers process prompts sent through AI features according to the user's configuration. Accounts use verified email and password; organization roles govern invites and settings, and workspaces can isolate RFPs, knowledge bases, and Drive files by organization. Presel says it does not sell personal data and retains account and workspace data while an account is active. Enterprise SAML/OIDC SSO is on the roadmap, not available in self-serve plans. Pro includes priority email support, while product documentation is self-serve and security or legal reviews are directed to sales.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes a 50 MB personal drive, one knowledge base, Markdown-to-Word/PDF conversion, Word-to-Markdown import, and a UML editor. It is a sensible way to use the document and diagram tools personally, but it excludes RFP projects and organization seats.

The Trial costs 0.00 USD per free and provides everything in Pro for 7 days, including an organization workspace and invites, with no credit card required to explore. It then returns to Free toolkit limits if you do not upgrade, so it is a short evaluation window rather than a continuing team plan.

Plus costs 19.00 USD per month, billed at $19/ seat / mo. It adds 5 GB of drive storage, three knowledge bases, two RFP or proposal projects, one workspace seat, and Word export. It suits an individual handling a small number of proposals; the two-project cap and single seat make it a poor fit for a team or a busy bid pipeline. Annual checkout saves about 20%.

Pro costs 49.00 USD per month, billed at $49/ seat / mo, with annual checkout saving about 20%. It includes 50 GB of drive storage, unlimited RFPs and knowledge bases, up to five seats, the AI proposal suite and quality gates, shared organization workspaces, and priority email support. This is the practical choice for a small team running recurring bids, though teams beyond the five included seats need a different arrangement.

Enterprise costs 99.00 USD per month, billed at $99/ seat / mo, with volume pricing available. It includes unlimited seats, 500 GB of drive storage, a dedicated success manager, custom SLA and DPA, and admin controls and audit support. It targets larger organizations that need those service and governance provisions; SSO/SAML remains roadmap work scoped with sales, not a current self-serve capability.

Platforms

Presel is available on the web. Word and PDF export support proposal handoff, but the product's platform coverage is otherwise web-only.

Who it's for

Presel is a strong fit for bid teams that want intake, requirements, evidence-backed drafting, review gates, and controlled export in one workspace, especially when document conversion and diagrams are also useful. It is less compelling for occasional proposal writers who need only a lightweight document tool, or organizations for which SSO is a present-day requirement.

Pros and cons

Pros: A full RFP workflow from intake to controlled Word export gives teams more structure than a drafting-only tool.
Pros: Markdown/Word/PDF conversion and Mermaid or PlantUML diagrams extend its usefulness beyond live proposals.
Pros: The no-card 7-day Pro trial lets teams evaluate organization workspaces and invites before paying.
Cons: Free has no RFP projects or organization seats, limiting it to personal toolkit use.
Cons: Plus is restricted to two projects and one seat, so growing bid volume quickly points to Pro.
Cons: Enterprise SSO/SAML is not currently available, which may rule it out for organizations that require it.

Alternatives

For a wider shortlist, browse RFP Response Software, AI RFP Response Software, or Bid Management Software.

1up is worth considering for a smaller knowledge-answer workflow: its free plan includes one admin, 50 knowledge uploads, and 50 answers per month, while Presel's free tier centers on documents and diagrams and has no RFP projects. RFP Response Builder is an alternative with a 14-day trial and a Business plan at 39.00 USD per month; Presel is the better fit when document conversion and diagramming matter alongside bid workflow. Tribble offers a response workflow for RFPs, DDQs, and security questionnaires with source-cited drafts, SME routing, an audit trail, and Word, Excel, PDF, and client-format export; choose it when those questionnaire and routing needs are central.

Tenderbolt is another paid option. Responsive may suit buyers seeking a paid platform subscription, with its Emerging Edition starting at 10000.00 USD per year; Presel offers a lower entry point and a free personal toolkit. RocketDocs starts at 18500.00 USD per year and is custom-fit to deployment, so it is an alternative for buyers considering a higher-cost deployment-oriented plan. BidGenie offers a free trial with 60 one-time credits, up to three RFPs per month, and one team member; that is a defined trial allowance compared with Presel's seven-day Pro trial. RFP.ai starts at 49.00 EUR per month and includes five users, unlimited projects, 1M tokens, and 1K pages per month; its stated project allowance may suit teams comparing a per-month project quota with Presel's Pro plan.

Verdict

Choose Presel if your bid team wants a structured RFP process, reusable knowledge, and document and diagram tools together, with a Pro plan that includes five seats. Its free tier is useful for personal conversion work, but not team bidding; look elsewhere if SSO/SAML is mandatory today or if you need a broader team allocation without moving beyond the entry plan.
