Overview

Voice.ai is a freemium voice and audio service for people who want to transform speech, generate text-to-speech, or use online audio tools. It is most compelling for PC users who want live voice changing across microphone-based apps; the broad platform and API lineup is less clearly described.

Its voice-changing and audio-conversion tools have meaningful plan limits, while higher tiers add credits, clones, and generation capacity. Check those limits before choosing a plan, and consider the publication terms before submitting content.

Key features

Live and recorded voice changing

The PC app describes deep-learning voice transformation that can be heard in real time, and also supports changing recorded audio. A virtual microphone lets microphone-based software receive the altered voice. Voice.ai names Discord, Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp, Skype, Twitch, Minecraft, and Fortnite as compatible apps or games, making it a practical fit for calls, streams, and gaming where voice input matters.

The library contains user-generated voices, and Voice.ai also describes voice cloning. The PC page says voices repeat speech in the speaker’s language, but that should not be mistaken for a published language roster. Conversion length is a consequential constraint: audio tools allow five minutes per conversion on Free, rising to 10 on Starter, 20 on Launch, 60 on Core, and 180 on Scale.

Text-to-speech and API

Text-to-speech and online audio tools extend the service beyond live voice effects. The API is positioned for voice agents, cloning, and text-to-speech, with plan quotas for credits and concurrent generation or calls. Those quotas matter more than the headline feature list for teams building recurring workflows.

Privacy and security

Submitted user-generated content is associated with the submitting account or email; content submitted for publication becomes public after review. That is worth weighing before uploading material intended to remain private. Voice.ai says it submits its app to antivirus companies for certification, naming McAfee, Google, and Avast. Its Voice AI Agent page claims SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, PCI Level 1, GDPR, and ISO 27001 compliance and SSO. The posted privacy policy was last updated on 5 May 2022.

Pricing

Voice.ai uses a freemium model. The free tier costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 5k credits/month, an online voice changer, text-to-speech, and audio tools with a five-minute conversion limit. It is a useful way to try the core toolkit, but the short conversion cap and smaller allowance make it a poor fit for sustained audio work.

Starter costs 5.00 USD per month and provides 15k credits/month, five instant voice clones, up to 5,000 characters per conversion, and a 10-minute audio conversion limit. It suits lighter individual use, though the character and conversion caps constrain longer jobs. Launch costs 12.00 USD per month as a first-month price, shown alongside $24, with a 50% discount. It includes 200k credits/month, 10 clones, five concurrent TTS generations, four concurrent agent calls, three phone numbers, and a 20-minute audio limit; the first-month pricing makes renewal terms worth checking before committing.

Core costs 99.00 USD per month and raises the allowance to 1M credits, 50 clones, 10 concurrent TTS generations, eight agent calls, 10 phone numbers, and 60-minute conversions; it also adds priority support. Scale costs 330.00 USD per month, with 4M credits, 200 clones, 15 concurrent TTS generations, 16 agent calls, 20 phone numbers, and 180-minute conversions. These tiers are aimed at heavier workloads rather than casual voice changing.

Business costs 880.00 USD per month and includes 22M credits, 2,200 clones, 15 concurrent TTS generations, 30 agent calls, 50 phone numbers, and a technical success manager. Enterprise has custom pricing, custom credits, custom SSO, and custom terms and assurance around DPA/SLAs. Priority support starts at Core; dedicated technical success manager support is listed for Business.

Platforms

Voice.ai lists Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android downloads or experiences, alongside web and API offerings. The clearest compatibility detail is for Windows, so readers should not assume that every PC feature or integration carries across all platforms. The maker is Voice.ai, founded in 2022.

Who it's for

Voice.ai is a strong candidate for Windows users who want live voice transformation in calls, streams, or games, and for creators or developers who can use its TTS, audio tools, or API quotas. Free and Starter are better suited to experimentation or modest workloads; larger tiers make sense when credit volume, concurrent jobs, clones, or long conversions justify the monthly spend. It is less suitable for users who need generous conversion time at no cost or who cannot accept submitted publication content becoming public after review.

Pros and cons

Pro: Live transformation, recorded-audio changing, and virtual microphone support cover both real-time and file-based use.
Pro: The named Windows integrations span communication, streaming, and games, clarifying where the changed voice can be used.
Pro: Higher plans scale credits, clones, concurrent work, and conversion lengths, with priority support at Core and a technical success manager at Business.
Con: Free audio conversions stop at five minutes, and Starter raises that only to 10 minutes.
Con: Launch's 12.00 USD per month price is explicitly a first-month price shown alongside $24, so it is not a stable long-term cost.
Con: Platform feature detail is strongest for Windows, and publication submissions become public after review.

If text-to-speech is the priority, Speechify offers a free tier with 10 voices and up to 1.5x speed. Altered Studio is worth considering for a free tier with three minutes per month of voice morphing and local voice cloning, though its free use is noncommercial. Applio suits readers seeking a free, open-source MIT-licensed option with no accounts or paywalls. Kits AI is another freemium choice for generative vocals, with 15 conversion minutes and zero voice slots or download minutes on its free tier.

Verdict

Choose Voice.ai if you want PC voice transformation that works with named communication apps and games, with recorded-audio tools, TTS, and an API available as well. Its main advantage is that breadth; its main cautions are tight limits on cheaper plans, a first-month Launch price, and publication terms that make uploaded content public after review. For light trials, start with Free; for sustained work, match the paid tier to the conversion length and concurrency you actually need.
