Overview

PeopleHawk is a career-planning and work-readiness platform for students and the education providers that support them. It is strongest for users who want career tools alongside school careers provision, with separate preparation products for medical admissions. The breadth is useful, but the UK and Ireland offerings are priced separately and specialist products cost extra.

Key features

Career exploration and preparation

The Future Pathways Report turns an assessment of values, interests, personality and skills into subject, career and pathway recommendations. Its 100 questions take around 20 minutes and produce a personalised 50-page report, making it a focused one-off choice for someone who wants direction rather than a continuing suite of tools.

Premium is the ongoing toolkit: career and course exploration, bite-sized skills learning, CV and digital-profile creation, an AI Elevator Pitch, interview practice with AI feedback, live opportunities and an e-portfolio. That combination suits students building toward work or further study; users who only want assessment results need not pay for the broader package.

School and admissions support

Schools can use schemes of work, career-readiness journeys, student insights and reporting, UCAS support, application help and work-experience features. UK schools also get a Skills Builder integration for benchmarking and developing essential skills through bite-sized learning. This makes PeopleHawk relevant to institution-wide careers provision, not just individual student planning.

For medical applicants, the free HPAT readiness test gives an estimated score, percentile and personalised feedback in 30 minutes; paid Bootcamp adds targeted practice, explanations and feedback, while Mastery provides full timed mock exams. MSAT preparation includes practice zones and mock exams with feedback and explanations. These specialist products are sold separately from Premium, so applicants should compare the specific preparation option they need rather than assume it is bundled.

Pathway planning, education matching and a counselor dashboard extend the platform beyond self-guided exploration. PeopleHawk supports students, schools, colleges, universities and employers, and also describes support for career changers.

Pricing

PeopleHawk uses a freemium model, but its prices and products vary by region and purpose. The Ireland and UK Premium plans each cost 4.99 per user per month—4.99 EUR per month in Ireland and 4.99 GBP per month in the UK—and cover core career, skills and work-readiness tools. Specialist products are separate, so the low monthly entry price does not include every admissions or report option.

The HPAT Readiness Test is free in Ireland and the UK, priced at 0.00 USD per free, and includes the 30-minute test with estimated score, percentile and personalised feedback. The paid HPAT Bootcamp costs 99.99 EUR per once in Ireland or 99.99 GBP per once in the UK; HPAT Mastery costs 149.99 EUR per once in Ireland. Mastery provides full timed mock exams, while Bootcamp focuses on targeted practice with explanations and feedback.

Future Pathways Reports cost 99.99 EUR per once in Ireland or 99.99 GBP per once in the UK, for the 100-question assessment and personalised 50-page report. For institutions, Future Pathways for Schools & Colleges costs 29.99 EUR per once in Ireland or 29.99 GBP per once in the UK, for cohorts of 100 students or more; each purchase includes five supporting lessons. The 100-student minimum makes this school option a poor fit for smaller cohorts.

Platforms

PeopleHawk is available on Android, iOS and the web. That range gives individual users both mobile and browser access, while schools and other providers can use the web platform for provision and reporting.

Who it's for

Choose PeopleHawk if you are a student who wants more than a one-off career assessment, or an education provider looking to coordinate careers activities and student insight. Its separate HPAT and MSAT preparation makes it relevant to medical applicants too. Someone seeking only a standalone assessment may find the Future Pathways Report a clearer fit, while a smaller school cohort may not meet the minimum for the institutional package.

For users weighing data handling, PeopleHawk says it stores and processes user data and backups in UK and Ireland data centres, with encryption at rest and in transit using 256-bit SSL/TLS 1.3. Its privacy policy says personal data is stored in the UK and EEA, while some technical providers outside those regions may receive data subject to safeguards. The company says it is accredited with Cyber Essentials and IASME Governance and is working toward ISO 27001.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad student toolkit: Career and course exploration, skill-building, interview practice and portfolio tools sit alongside CV creation.
Institutional careers support: Schemes of work, student reporting, UCAS support and work-experience features address school provision as well as individual planning.
Clear entry points: The free HPAT readiness test and one-off report options let users pursue a specific goal without buying Premium.
Mobile and web access: Android, iOS and browser availability suit students using different devices.

Cons

Separate specialist charges: HPAT preparation and Future Pathways Reports sit outside Premium, increasing the cost for users who need both ongoing tools and specialist support.
Regional pricing differs: UK and Ireland plans use different currencies and product options, so users should check the offer for their country.
School package has a high minimum cohort: The institutional Future Pathways option starts at 100 students, excluding smaller groups.

Alternatives

Browse more options in Career Guidance Software. Pathly is worth considering for students who want a free student account and counselors who need a separately priced solo plan. Schools wanting access without annual licence fees, per-student charges or subscription renewals should consider BridgeU, which is free to use for schools and arranged through the provider.

CareerExplorer suits someone who wants to start with a free assessment and consider a membership billed annually for its tools, resources, guidance and support. MAPP Career Assessment is another assessment-led option, with a free account and a one-off Executive Package. Pathful may suit users who want a platform spanning iOS, macOS, web and Windows, with a guided walkthrough offered.

Start Profile is a UK-based alternative that gives young people free access, with its content and opportunities funded by partners. PowerSchool Behavior Support is a paid alternative across Android, iOS and web. PeopleGrove Engagement Hub is another web-based option.

Verdict

PeopleHawk is a strong fit for students and education providers who need structured career planning and work-readiness support, especially when schools want reporting and coordinated careers provision. Its main advantage is the breadth of individual and institutional tools; its main drawback is that reports and medical admissions preparation are separate purchases, with regional prices and cohort thresholds to consider. Choose it for an ongoing student or school programme, but look elsewhere if you need only a simpler assessment or a school option without a 100-student minimum.
