Overview

PushFar combines a configurable mentoring platform for organisations with a free mentoring network for individuals. It is best suited to HR, learning and development, educational and professional teams that want to manage a structured programme; its individual network also gives people a no-cost way to seek or offer mentoring.

The organisational offer stands out for its choice of matching methods and control over programme design. That flexibility is useful when a programme needs to fit an organisation’s processes, but the organisational platform requires a demo and custom pricing, so it is not the straightforward choice for teams that need a published price before evaluating software.

Key features

Programme setup and matching

Administrators can tailor branding, questions, approvals, settings and matching rules. Pairings can be suggested with AI assistance, made by administrators or chosen by participants. That breadth suits programmes with different levels of structure, though it places the choice of workflow with the organisation rather than imposing a single approach. Templates and matching workflows support repeatable programme setup.

Participant tools and reporting

Participants can set goals, schedule meetings, exchange private messages and use built-in video calling. Reporting covers activity, goals, meetings, feedback and surveys, giving programme owners a view of engagement as well as progress against goals. Together, these tools cover the core cycle of a mentoring relationship without requiring participants to leave the platform for video calls.

Integrations, security and support

PushFar documents SSO, calendar syncing, and Microsoft Teams and Zoom integrations. Other systems, including Workday, can be connected through an account manager. It describes GDPR controls, role-based access and two-factor authentication for the administration panel. Organisations receive account-based support, onboarding, training and ongoing customer success services, which may matter to teams implementing a programme across multiple cohorts.

The maker says the system can support programmes from 50 to 50,000 people, with centralised administration and cohort management. Participants can be invited through unique registration links, SSO, CSV files or APIs. These options suit larger rollouts, while the stated scale alone does not establish which configuration or price an organisation will need.

Pricing

PushFar uses a freemium model. The Open mentoring network plan costs 0.00 USD per free and lets individuals find a mentor, become a mentor or do both. It is the clear fit for individuals, but it is not the organisational programme platform.

The Organisational mentoring platform has custom pricing, with a demo required. Organisations considering it should expect to discuss their programme needs rather than compare a published subscription price. The free plan is useful for individual mentoring, but does not provide a priced entry tier for organisations to assess against their budgets.

Platforms

PushFar supports web, iOS and Android, as well as an API. The mobile apps give participants access on iOS and Android, while the API and SSO options can support organisational access and integration needs.

Who it's for

PushFar is a strong fit for businesses, educational institutions and professional organisations that need configurable matching, central administration, participant communication and programme reporting. Its scale and onboarding support also make it relevant to HR and learning and development teams organising cohorts across a larger institution.

Individuals looking for a mentor or willing to mentor others can use the open network for free. Organisations needing a publicly priced plan, or a simpler setup without multiple matching choices, should compare alternatives before committing to a demo-led purchasing process.

Pros and cons

Pro: Three matching routes—AI-assisted, administrator-led and participant self-selection—let programme owners balance automation, oversight and participant choice.
Pro: Goals, scheduling, messaging, video calls and reporting keep key mentoring activities and programme measures in one system.
Pro: SSO, calendar and video-meeting integrations, plus CSV, API and registration-link invitations, support varied organisational workflows.
Pro: Individuals can use the mentoring network at no cost, whether they want to find a mentor, become one or both.
Con: The organisational platform has custom pricing and requires a demo, making upfront budget comparison difficult.
Con: The free plan is for individuals, so organisations do not get a free programme tier to evaluate.

Alternatives

Mentorloop is worth considering for non-profits and community groups seeking a simple mentoring programme: its Pro plan starts at 299.00 USD per month, with programme themes, and it also offers a free plan.

MentorCity is another freemium option, with web, mobile and API support; its Standard plan includes messaging, file sharing, meetings, goals, agreements, surveys and video conferencing.

Qooper uses custom pricing based on programme scope, participant volume and organisational requirements, making it an option for organisations whose purchasing needs centre on those factors.

Together prices custom solutions by learner count, match types and programme goals, charges for actively matched participants, and includes implementation and support.

Chronus may suit organisations that do not need a free plan and want to compare paid programme options, including an Unleash Performance plan with up to 1,000 licences and unlimited programmes.

MentorcliQ offers a published starting price of 9900.00 USD per year for CliQ Start, covering 100 employees per year; it is a comparison point for buyers seeking an annual price and defined employee allowance.

Affirmity Employment Law Navigator is a web-based alternative with pricing by request.

Mentessa is a paid, web-based alternative with a free trial; its Connect plan is 292.00 EUR per month for up to 100 active participants, with a 15% reduction for annual payment.

Verdict

PushFar is a strong choice for organisations that want to tailor matching and programme rules while giving participants practical communication tools and programme owners detailed reporting. Individuals also get a genuinely free route into mentoring. The main reason to look elsewhere is the organisational plan’s custom pricing and demo requirement: teams that need a published price or free organisational tier should compare alternatives before proceeding.
