Overview

LTX Studio combines video generation with tools for shaping a project, including AI storyboarding, character creation, pitch decks, and advanced camera controls. It is a better fit for developing a sequence of shots than for someone seeking only a quick, isolated clip. Shots run from 3 to 20 seconds depending on the model, and LTX-2 supports shots up to 20 seconds.

The platform integrates LTX models with image and video models including FLUX, Veo, and Nano Banana. Generation uses credits, and the cost varies by action; a monthly credit allowance therefore does not promise a fixed number of finished videos.

Key features

Text-to-video and image-to-video generation sit alongside scripting, storyboarding, scene editing, and final delivery. Character creation, image-to-animation, and reference consistency help connect visual elements across a project. Pitch decks and camera controls extend the workflow into presentation and shot direction. MP4 and XML export provide two output options.

Real-time project collaboration makes shared production practical. Enterprise plans expand that to unlimited collaborators, with a dedicated account manager, tailored onboarding, and high-priority support with SLAs. Enterprise also lists SSO and SOC 2 compliance; LTX says user data is not used to train AI models without authorization. Its trust center lists GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type 2, and SOC 3.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free, billed forever, with no billing and 800 credits one time. It is for personal use, so it works as a limited starting point rather than a recurring production allowance or a commercial option.

Lite costs 144.00 USD per year, billed $144 billed yearly ($12/month), or $15/month on the monthly option. Its 8,000 credits/month make it the lowest-cost recurring plan, but it remains personal-use only. Standard costs 28.00 USD per year, billed $336 billed yearly ($28/month), or $35/month monthly; it includes 28,000 credits/month and a commercial use license. Pro costs 100.00 USD per year, billed $1,200 billed yearly ($100/month), or $125/month monthly, with 110,000 credits/month and a commercial use license. Standard suits commercial users with moderate generation needs; Pro is for those whose greater monthly allowance justifies its substantially higher spend.

Enterprise has custom pricing, yearly billing, custom credit volume, and unlimited collaborators. It is the relevant tier for teams that need those collaboration and support provisions. Across paid plans, the monthly credit total must be weighed against variable per-action usage.

Platforms

LTX Studio runs in a web browser, requires no download, and is designed for desktop use. The maker says it is not available as a mobile app, ruling it out for creators who need a phone-first workflow.

Who it's for

Choose LTX Studio if you want one desktop workspace for developing, generating, and delivering video projects, especially when storyboarding, character tools, or collaboration matter. It is less compelling for casual personal use that needs a continuing free allowance, commercial work on the cheaper plans, or mobile production.

Pros and cons

Pros: Generation, storyboarding, character creation, editing, and delivery support a connected project workflow.
Pros: Model choices include LTX, FLUX, Veo, and Nano Banana; MP4 and XML exports cover two common delivery formats.
Pros: Standard and Pro include commercial licensing, while Enterprise adds unlimited collaborators and dedicated support.
Cons: Free provides only 800 one-time credits and personal use, limiting its usefulness for sustained work.
Cons: Lite has a recurring credit allowance but no commercial license; users need Standard or Pro for commercial use.
Cons: Credits vary in cost by action, making output volume difficult to infer from the allowance alone.
Cons: Desktop-only access excludes mobile-first creators.

Alternatives

For a free animation option across web, mobile, and desktop platforms, Melted Crayons TV offers 30 monthly credits for images, standard voices, and 1080p static comic video export, but no panel animation and a watermark. Artiroom is another web-based freemium option, with a 9.99 USD one-time Starter Pack that includes 15 credits, every model, watermark-free output, and scene downloads.

Krikey AI offers Android, iOS, and web access, with a free plan of 20 one-time credits and a Pro plan at 15.00 USD per month with 165 monthly credits. Viggle is an API-based alternative whose Free plan allows 5 videos per day, one simultaneous generation, and seven-day asset and generation storage.

Charios is a web alternative with a free tier of three active projects, 30 credits per month, 13 bundled mocap clips, and community support. DeepMotion Animate 3D, Move AI, and Autodesk Flow Studio are other options to compare. Browse the AI Animation Makers category for more choices.

Verdict

LTX Studio is a strong fit for desktop creators who need more than clip generation and want planning, character work, editing, and delivery under one roof. Its main advantage is that connected workflow; its main reason to look elsewhere is the combination of variable credit costs, limited free credits, and licensing that reserves commercial use for higher plans.
