Overview

Loyverse is a mobile point-of-sale suite for small businesses, with restaurant tools for handling table orders, kitchen tickets, inventory and customer loyalty. It suits independent restaurants that want those jobs connected to a POS without starting with a paid subscription; the trade-off is that longer sales history and some staff and inventory capabilities cost extra.

Key features

Restaurant service

Open tickets can be assigned to tables, split, merged or moved between tickets. Custom menu categories and item modifiers help represent a restaurant’s menu, while dine-in, takeout and delivery labels distinguish order types. This is a useful set of core workflows for table service, though the listed order channels identify table orders rather than a broader ordering system.

Kitchen workflow

Orders can go to a kitchen display or printer with quantities, modifiers, item details and comments. That keeps preparation instructions attached to the ticket, which is valuable when orders include customizations.

Inventory, loyalty and connections

Inventory tools cover purchase orders, composite items for prepared goods and their ingredients, transfers between locations, counts and corrections. Points-based loyalty and customer notes support repeat visits and recorded preferences. Integrations include QuickBooks Online, Xero, WooCommerce, Shopify and Otter; the API supports connections involving sales analytics, accounting, orders, items and inventory, customers and e-invoicing.

Offline mode and employee permissions are supported. Loyverse says its payments use PCI-compliant infrastructure, and its support team is available around the clock by live chat, alongside help articles.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes POS, essential inventory, loyalty, customer and kitchen displays, multi-store management, integrations and reports covering the last 31 days. That is a substantial starting package for a small operation, but older sales reports cannot be viewed or exported without the Unlimited sales history add-on.

Loyverse POS is the free core plan, with 31 days of sales history. The paid add-ons are priced per store: Unlimited sales history costs 5.00 USD per month, billed $5/month per store or $50/year per store, and unlocks reports beyond the last 31 days. Employee management costs 25.00 USD per month, billed $25/month per store or $250/year per store, for team performance, permissions and hours worked. Advanced inventory also costs 25.00 USD per month, billed $25/month per store or $250/year per store, adding purchase orders, stock transfers and deeper inventory insights.

The pricing model is freemium, with a 14-day trial. The low-cost report add-on is an easy fit for businesses that need historical reporting; the two $25 add-ons make the economics less attractive if a store only needs occasional staff or stock oversight. Check which functions your operation needs before budgeting per location.

Platforms

Loyverse supports Android, iOS, web and API access. Its listed hardware platform is iOS.

Who it's for

Loyverse is a strong fit for small restaurants that need table tickets, kitchen routing, loyalty and basic multi-location inventory in one POS, especially when the free plan’s 31-day reporting window is enough. Restaurants that need longer reporting, paid staff management or advanced inventory should compare the per-store add-on costs with their needs. It is less compelling for businesses seeking ordering channels beyond the table workflows described here.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free plan combines POS, loyalty, kitchen displays, integrations and multi-store management, so a small business can start without paying for core functionality.
Pros: Tickets support table assignment, splitting and merging, while kitchen orders carry modifiers and comments through to preparation.
Pros: Inventory, customer notes and a points program link operational tracking with repeat-customer tools.
Cons: Free sales reporting stops at 31 days; businesses needing older reports must pay for the history add-on.
Cons: Employee management and advanced inventory each add a $25/month per-store cost, which can materially raise costs across multiple locations.

Verdict

Choose Loyverse if you run a small restaurant that wants table-ticket handling, kitchen workflows and loyalty in a free POS, and can work within its 31-day reporting cap. Look elsewhere if historical reports, staff controls or deeper inventory are essential but the per-store add-ons do not fit your budget.
