Overview

The maker offers 50 logo concepts, with commercial use and PNG, SVG, and JPG file formats. Transparent and vector exports help a logo adapt to varied backgrounds and layouts. Wixel says high-resolution PNG and SVG downloads are free, but Wix’s legacy Logo Maker Basic plan includes PNG only; SVG is reserved for Advanced and certain higher plans. Confirm which maker and plan you are using before relying on vector files.

Wixel can generate a brand theme from a logo for use in other Wixel designs, and its AI tagline generator adds a related branding tool. Downloaded logos can be uploaded to Wix and saved in Media Manager for a website. That workflow is useful for Wix customers, but Wixel requires a Wix account. The older Logo Maker remains available with limited AI support and fewer assets than Wixel.

Key features

Logo customization and exports

Starting with AI or a template gives users a choice between generated concepts and a more direct starting point. Editable colors, fonts, icons, and layout mean the initial design need not be the final one. The export range and commercial-use rights suit businesses that need to carry a consistent logo across websites, social profiles, and documents.

Wixel design tools

Wixel extends the logo workflow into other design projects: users can derive a brand theme from their logo, while monthly AI credits also support actions across the platform. Its app is available on iOS and Android, and projects stay in sync across devices. Wixel includes an AI customer care assistant and support tickets. Wix states that its website security certificates include PCI DSS Level 1, SOC 2 Type 2, and several ISO certifications, and that it complies with GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 120 AI credits per month, capped at 30 per day, with up to 20 logos estimated. AI actions consume credits, so the daily ceiling matters if you want to generate or revise designs in concentrated bursts. Wixel says high-resolution PNG and SVG downloads are free; the legacy maker’s Basic plan, by contrast, does not include SVG.

Basic costs 90.00 USD per year, billed per year. It raises the monthly allowance to 350 AI credits and estimates capacity for up to 50 logos, 40 images, 10 videos, 40 documents, and 3 presentations. This is the entry paid tier for users who need more room than the free allowance but do not expect heavy cross-format work.

Pro costs 290.00 USD per year, billed per year, and includes 850 AI credits per month, estimated capacity of up to 180 logos, 140 images, 35 videos, 130 documents, and 7 presentations, plus a Wix Light plan and a free domain for 1 year. Max costs 590.00 USD per year, billed per year, with 2,000 monthly AI credits, estimated capacity of up to 440 logos, 330 images, 80 videos, 280 documents, and 15 presentations, and the same Wix Light plan and one-year free domain. These higher tiers are difficult to justify for logo work alone; they make more sense if you will also use Wixel for the other project types and value the Wix bundle.

Platforms

Wix Logo Maker is available on web, Android, and iOS. Wixel’s mobile app keeps projects in sync across devices, while downloaded logos can be moved into Wix Media Manager for use on a Wix website.

Who it's for

Choose it if you need a customizable commercial logo and expect to reuse its visual identity across other designs, especially if you already work with Wix. The free plan gives a way to start, while paid tiers expand AI credits and estimated project capacity. If you only need a logo and do not expect to use Wixel’s broader design tools, the higher annual plans are more than the logo workflow alone calls for.

Pros and cons

Pro: AI and template starting points are both editable, so users can shape colors, fonts, icons, and layout rather than settle for an untouched concept.
Pro: Commercial use, transparent and vector export, and multiple file formats support use across common business materials.
Pro: Wixel’s brand themes and synced mobile projects extend the value beyond logo creation.
Con: Wixel requires a Wix account, which makes it a less natural fit for users who want an account-independent logo tool.
Con: The daily cap on free AI credits can limit concentrated use, and the legacy maker’s Basic plan lacks SVG export.
Con: Pro and Max bundle extensive non-logo capacity, so their annual prices are hard to warrant for an occasional logo project.

Alternatives

Design.com is a web-based freemium option with a free plan that includes AI logo generation, full customization, a brand kit, high-resolution PNG and JPG downloads, EPS, SVG, and PDF vector files, and commercial-use rights. Consider it when those stated file and brand-kit inclusions better match your needs.

BrandCrowd Logo Maker offers a free plan with selected free logos, editing, and downloads; its paid Starter plan is 9.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and includes unlimited edits and high-resolution and vector downloads. It may suit someone who prefers a monthly entry plan.

Logo Diffusion has a free plan with 24 credits per month, about 12 logos, one concurrent generation, watermarked 512x512 downloads, and no commercial rights. Choose it only if those free-tier limits and the lack of commercial rights fit the intended use. Zoviz is another logo-maker alternative to consider.

Brandmark is an alternative to consider for logo creation. LOGO.com is another option for readers comparing logo makers. Looka is also worth considering when comparing logo and brand-kit tools. LogoAI is another service to compare for AI logo creation.

Verdict

Wix Logo Maker is a sensible pick for a small business or solo operator who wants an adaptable logo and plans to build more brand materials in Wixel, particularly if Wix is already part of the workflow. The free downloads and editable concepts are compelling, but check whether you are using Wixel or the legacy maker before counting on SVG, and look elsewhere if you want to avoid a Wix account or need only a single logo without broader design capacity.
