Overview

The Free plan covers the core collection job without a request quota, including photo and video review requests. It also includes a review widget and star rating badge, so a store can gather feedback and show it on its storefront at no cost. Merchants seeking advanced features face a clear step up to the $15.00 USD monthly Awesome plan.

Key features

Collect and display reviews

Judge.me offers widgets, star rating badges, carousels and other review displays. The included Free widget and badge give merchants useful ways to surface customer feedback, while the broader set of formats gives stores more display choices. The plan details do not establish that every format is included free.

Integrations, Shop sync and AI

The integration directory includes Klaviyo, Omnisend, Shopify Flow, Zapier and LoyaltyLion, connecting review activity with common marketing and store workflows. The Shop app integration can send Judge.me reviews to Shop and bring eligible Shop reviews back. Judge.me also describes AI tools for review summaries, reply suggestions and translations, which can help merchants work with collected feedback; these are among its AI capabilities, not a reason to assume they are part of Free.

API and security

Judge.me provides an API, with OAuth access for app developers, and states that it is SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certified. Those credentials and developer access matter to stores with integration or security requirements, though the API does not remove the Shopify-store requirement.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	Unlimited review requests, Review Widget, Star Rating Badge, CSV imports, and photo and video review requests.
Awesome	15.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Free features plus advanced features; 15-day free trial.

Free is the stronger starting point for a merchant focused on collecting reviews: unlimited requests and media requests avoid a volume ceiling on the core workflow. Awesome is for stores that need advanced capabilities, but its monthly billing has no yearly plan, and the plan terms do not identify the individual advanced features. Judge.me advertises 24/7 human support by chat and email on both plans, so support is not an Awesome-only reason to upgrade.

Platforms

Judge.me's app is exclusively available on Shopify; it has sunset apps for WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace, Square, Duda and PrestaShop. Some platform-independent widgets on Awesome can serve external storefront pages, but the store itself must remain on Shopify. The API and web access do not change that boundary. Stores already on Shopify can also use the Shop app review sync; stores on other commerce platforms should look elsewhere.

Who it's for

Judge.me suits Shopify merchants who want to build review coverage without paying per request, especially those who need photo and video requests, storefront displays, or connections to tools such as Klaviyo and Zapier. Its Free plan is practical for a store starting out, while Awesome makes sense when advanced features justify $15.00 USD per month. It is not a sensible choice for a merchant who needs its review app to run on a non-Shopify store.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited review requests on Free let merchants collect feedback without a request cap.
Pro: Free includes a widget, star badge, CSV imports and photo and video review requests, covering key collection and display needs at no cost.
Pro: 24/7 human chat and email support is advertised on both Free and Awesome.
Con: The app is Shopify-only, excluding stores built on other commerce platforms.
Con: Awesome is monthly only, with no yearly plan, and the stated plan comparison does not spell out which advanced features require the upgrade.

Alternatives

Yotpo Reviews is worth considering for merchants comparing another freemium option at the same $15.00 USD monthly paid entry point. Its Free plan is capped at 50 orders per month, 500 outgoing emails and 200 kick-start credits, unlike Judge.me's unlimited review requests; Yotpo has no free trial.

REVIEWS.io may suit a merchant who wants an invite-based free tier: it allows 25 review invites per month, while its Essentials plan includes 300 invites and Start-Up includes 1,500 invites plus 100 SM. Judge.me is the better fit when unlimited requests matter more than a defined invite allowance.

Loox offers a free Beginner plan limited to 500 total orders and a Convert plan at 49.00; consider it if those order-based plan terms better fit your store. Judge.me's Free plan instead specifies unlimited review requests.

WiserReview is another freemium option with a free plan and free trial; consider comparing it if you want an alternative to Judge.me.

Okendo offers Essentials with product and site reviews, photo and video reviews, review imports and widgets, and Growth with review collection and display features plus Meta Shops syndication. It is an alternative to compare if those stated features match your needs.

Junip has a free plan with unlimited review requests and orders, on-site displays, automated request emails, analytics and review replies. It is a close comparison for Shopify merchants prioritizing a broad free review workflow.

Rivyo has a free Indie plan with unlimited product reviews, 100 Amazon/AliExpress imports and 100 orders per month; consider it if those import and order terms suit your requirements.

PowerReviews is a paid alternative to compare if you are considering paid review software.

Verdict

Choose Judge.me if your store runs on Shopify and you want unlimited review requests, media requests and basic storefront displays without paying. Its strongest reason to choose it is the practical Free plan; its clearest reason to look elsewhere is the Shopify-only requirement. Awesome is a measured next step for advanced needs, but merchants should weigh its $15.00 USD monthly cost against the specific capabilities they need.
