Overview

Huntr gives each opportunity a place for job details, notes, dates and tasks, alongside company information, salary, location and the job description. That makes it more useful than a bare application list when a search involves many moving pieces. The contact tracker also keeps recruiter and hiring-manager details, including email, phone and social handles, close to the relevant search workflow.

For organizations placing candidates, Huntr Advisor serves technical academies, colleges, career coaches, outplacement providers and workforce-development organizations. Its API provides organization accounts access to member, job, employer and event information.

Key features

Job tracking and resume tailoring

The tracker captures enough context to make follow-ups and next steps easier to manage. Huntr's resume builder adds professional templates, AI suggestions, proofreading and one-click PDF export. More distinctively, resume tailoring extracts keywords, responsibilities and qualifications from a job description, then scores how closely a resume matches. That gives applicants a way to focus revisions on a specific opening rather than relying on a generic resume.

Applications and mobile

The Chrome extension autofills application forms on thousands of websites, which can reduce repetitive entry across a busy search. Native iOS and Android apps let users browse jobs and organize their search away from a computer; the extension remains the route for autofill. Complimentary AI credits are included on Free, but Huntr does not offer a Pro free trial.

Privacy and services

Huntr says it does not share personal data with third-party organizations or employers without consent and will not sell it. It uses security measures and secured servers, while acknowledging that internet transmission cannot be guaranteed secure. Its third-party services cover functions including authentication, payments, analytics, AI content, hosting and support; Stripe processes payments.

Pricing

Huntr is freemium. Free is always free and includes two job-tailored resumes, two application packets, tracking for up to 100 jobs and up to 100 document uploads. That is a substantial starting allowance, but active searchers who exceed the job cap or need more tailored materials will have to move to Pro.

Pro is shown at $40 per month, billed monthly, with unlimited AI credits, tailored resumes, application packets, job tracking and document uploads; unlimited AI cover letters are also included. The quarterly option is $90 every 3 months, and the biannual option is $160 every 6 months, with the same Pro features. Those longer billing intervals lower the effective monthly cost, but require paying for multiple months at once. The general paid-from price is $26.66/mo, matching the effective monthly cost of the biannual term; it is not the monthly billing price.

Platforms

Huntr supports web, iOS, Android and a browser extension, plus an organization API. The native mobile apps help keep a search organized on the go, while the Chrome extension handles application autofill. The API is aimed at organizational accounts rather than individual job seekers.

Who it's for

Huntr is a strong fit for job seekers juggling a sizable pipeline who want their application records, contacts and tailored documents in one workflow. Free suits a smaller search that stays within 100 tracked jobs and the document and resume limits. Pro makes more sense for sustained, high-volume applications where unlimited tracking and document creation matter. It is less compelling for someone who only needs a resume tool or who wants to try Pro before paying.

Pros and cons

Pro: Job records hold notes, tasks, dates and employer details, giving users more context than a simple status list.
Pro: Resume matching, AI writing assistance and one-click PDF export connect job-specific tailoring with document creation.
Pro: Chrome autofill and native mobile apps support different parts of the search process across devices.
Con: Free tracking stops at 100 jobs, which can constrain a long or broad search.
Con: Pro has no free trial, so users must decide without testing its paid features first.
Con: The $40 monthly option is materially above the $26.66/mo paid-from figure; reaching that effective rate requires a six-month payment.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of job-search software, see AI Job Search Tools; for focused writing options, browse Cover Letter Software or AI Resume Builders.

Aissence has a free plan, a free trial and a limited weekly allowance for interviews, cover letters and experience letters; consider it if those interview-preparation tools are the priority.
HeroApply includes mobile and web access on Free, with five applications per day; choose it if a daily application allowance is a better fit than Huntr's job-tracking cap.
Jobloo offers daily application credits on Free and full autopilot on its $20.00 per month Monthly plan; it suits readers prioritizing automated applications.
Hyring starts with 50 monthly credits, one seat and one active job post on Free, while Pro lists five seats; it is an option for hiring workflows rather than an individual job-search workspace.
Jobscan provides limited resume scans, an ATS-friendly resume builder and downloads on Free; choose it if resume scanning is the main need.
Simplify is another extension and mobile-accessible option with AI tailoring, cover letters and application-question responses in its paid offering.
Careerflow offers limited tracking, autofill and resume-building on Basic, with Premium shown at $8.99 per month; it is a lower-cost alternative for users comfortable with limited free tools.
Teal offers unlimited resume creation and basic analysis on Free, making it a relevant alternative for readers focused on resume creation.

Verdict

Huntr is best for job seekers who want one organized workspace for applications, contacts, tailored resumes and repetitive form-filling. Its strongest reason to choose is the combination of detailed tracking and job-specific resume support; its clearest reason to look elsewhere is the lack of a Pro trial and the $40 monthly price when the free limits are no longer enough.
