Overview

Hitch is an AI dating coach for adults who want help with online dating chats, profiles, or planning a date. Its best case is a person who wants both a read on a conversation and practical next-step suggestions; it is less suited to anyone who wants a coach that works without submitting chat text or screenshots.

It covers more than replies, with tools for openers, profile and photo feedback, red-flag checks, and date planning. The free plan gives a useful but tightly capped way to try those tools, while the paid plan removes usage limits and adds practice and deeper photo feedback.

Key features

Conversation analysis and reply ideas

Paste a chat or upload a screenshot and Hitch returns a 0–10 temperature score, a plain-English diagnosis, and reply suggestions. That combination is more useful than a reply generator alone when you want help interpreting the exchange as well as deciding what to say. Its supported services include Hinge, Bumble, Tinder, Match, OkCupid, Grindr, Feeld, WhatsApp, and Instagram DMs.

Tools for the rest of the dating process

Hitch also offers personalized openers, red-flag checks, profile and photo reviews, date planning, and Pro practice mode. The breadth makes it a practical fit for someone seeking one toolkit across several stages of dating, though the free caps mean frequent use will call for a paid plan.

Privacy and security

Hitch says submitted conversations are not used to train third-party AI models and are automatically deleted after up to 30 days by default. It uses TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, encryption at rest, restricted access controls, and regular security reviews. It says it does not collect phone contacts, photo-library contents, camera or microphone data, or precise GPS location. These protections are useful, but chats are still retained for a period, so users should consider what they choose to submit. Stripe handles payments, and Hitch says it does not store full card numbers on its servers.

Pricing

Hitch is freemium. Free costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 5 conversation scans per day, 3 openers per day, 5 red-flag checks per day, 1 date plan and 1 bio per day, 1 profile review per day, and one free Photo Picker try. Those limits make it workable for occasional advice, but not for someone who wants to use the tools throughout an active dating routine.

Pro yearly is shown at 5.00 USD per year, with the billing terms stating Billed $59.99/year — save 50%. It includes unlimited everything, Practice Mode, a full Photo Picker breakdown with fixes, personality-matched replies, and priority access to new features. It is the better fit for regular users who would outgrow the daily caps; the annual billing commitment is the trade-off.

Platforms

Hitch is available on Android, iOS, and the web. It accepts pasted text and screenshot uploads; it does not offer a browser extension. Mobile users can use the app, while web users can access the service in a browser without an extension workflow.

Who it's for

Hitch is for adults aged 18 and over who date online and want help getting matches, replying, asking someone out, or keeping chats moving. It is a strong fit for people who value conversation interpretation alongside profile and planning tools. Someone uncomfortable sharing conversation excerpts with a service should look for a different approach.

Pros and cons

Pros: Conversation scoring, diagnosis, and reply ideas put interpretation and action together.
Pros: Openers, profile and photo reviews, red-flag checks, and date planning extend beyond chat drafting.
Pros: Supports major dating apps as well as WhatsApp and Instagram DMs, and works across Android, iOS, and web.
Pros: The privacy policy describes encryption, restricted access, and automatic deletion of submitted conversations after up to 30 days by default.
Cons: The free plan's daily quotas and one-time Photo Picker try can feel restrictive for regular users.
Cons: Submitted conversations are retained for a period, so privacy-conscious users may prefer not to submit sensitive chats.
Cons: Pro is billed annually at $59.99/year, making it a less flexible choice for anyone seeking a short-term paid option.

Alternatives

For a narrower free option focused on openers and bios, YourMove AI provides 3 conversation openers per day, 1 profile bio generation, and basic profile review tips; AI Enhanced Photos are sold separately. DateAvella AI is worth considering if a free trial or an iOS keyboard matters: its free plan includes 3 Reply Coach uses per day, one photo consultation per week, light date coaching, and a basic Avella Keyboard.

Rizr is another freemium option for Android, iOS, and web users. SparkText is web-only; its Spark Plus plan costs 89.99 USD per year and includes 50 Sparks per day, unlimited screenshot uploads, up to 5 active matches, and full/deep context up to 60 days. Zirp is an iOS and macOS alternative with a 3-day free trial before its Unlimited plan renews at 9.99 USD per month.

DateIQ is an extension-based choice for people who want dating-app controls as well as AI messaging: its free plan includes 50 AI credits per month alongside swipes, filters, bulk unmatch, and a message library. Wingman and Firstline are also freemium alternatives, on web, iOS, and Android for Wingman and iOS and Android for Firstline. Browse the AI Dating Assistants list for more options.

Verdict

Choose Hitch if you want one service to interpret dating conversations and help with replies, profiles, openers, and date planning. Its breadth and cross-platform access are the main reasons to choose it; the main reasons to look elsewhere are the free-plan caps, annual Pro billing, or discomfort with retaining submitted conversations for up to 30 days.
