Overview

Mentorloop is a mentoring platform for organizations building structured programs, from community groups to large employers and universities. It is strongest when program teams need participant matching and engagement tracking together; smaller groups should weigh the Pro plan’s $299.00 USD per month starting price against its 50-participant limit.

Key features

Matching and progress

All programs include manual matching and unlimited matches, alongside goal setting, guided resources, activity and sentiment tracking, and a live dashboard. AI-assisted matching is the stated method, while Enterprise Smart Match compares compatibility across the cohort to support equitable matching at scale. That enterprise capability is a better fit for organizations managing complex cohorts than for a small program that can match participants manually.

Mentorloop Milestones track pair progress automatically, and Nudges send guidance in response to participant engagement. Together with program templates, these tools give coordinators ways to structure participation and follow up without relying only on manual monitoring.

Communication and recognition

Participants can use video and chat, in-Loop messaging, two-way calendar integrations and preferred video conferencing. Slack notifications extend program updates to a channel teams may already use. Peer-awarded Kudos and automatic Achievement badges offer ways to recognize participation; Enterprise adds custom program badges.

Reporting and integrations

Enterprise adds data collection, sentiment reporting, custom surveys, AI-powered survey summaries, custom reports, monthly digests and one-click PDF downloads. This is a substantial reporting package for organizations that need to review program outcomes, but those capabilities sit behind custom pricing rather than Pro’s stated starting price.

Integrations include Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Oracle, BambooHR, HiBob, Employment Hero, Rippling, ELMO, UKG, iMIS and WildApricot. The breadth supports connecting mentoring with common CRM, HR and association systems. SSO and integrations are Enterprise features.

Security and access

Mentorloop is Cyber Essentials certified, GDPR compliant and ICO registered. It encrypts data at rest, requires secure connections, and hosts application data in Sydney, London or Ohio, matching a program’s data center to the customer’s primary location. Sign-in options include passwords, Google and LinkedIn, plus SAML/OIDC single sign-on; staff administrators have MFA.

AI features are optional and user-controlled. Data sent to AI is not stored outside Mentorloop or used to train AI models. Mentorloop states partial compliance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, with some areas meeting or exceeding AAA, so organizations with strict accessibility requirements should assess that fit.

Pricing

Mentorloop has a free plan, but its terms and caps are not detailed here, so it is difficult to judge whether it will support an ongoing program. The published plan options are:

Plan	Price	Best suited to
Pro	Starting from $299.00 USD per month	A simple mentoring program, with a selection of program themes; designed for non-profits and community groups.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Organizations needing one-to-one expert support, SSO, integrations, customizable organization setup, bespoke matching algorithms and participant profiles.

Pro’s stated starting price makes it a meaningful commitment for a small community program, and the listed participant limit is 50. Enterprise is the route to advanced matching, integrations and reporting, but organizations must request a quote. No trial length or renewal terms are given.

Platforms

Mentorloop is available on the web and through native iOS and Android apps for participants. Mobile access is useful for participants who need program communication away from a desktop, while administrators can use the web platform.

Who it's for

Mentorloop suits companies, universities, government bodies, industry associations, charitable foundations and other organizations that want to manage mentoring as a program rather than as informal introductions. Pro targets non-profits and community groups with a straightforward setup. Enterprise better suits organizations that need cohort-scale matching, tailored profiles, custom reporting or single sign-on.

It is less compelling for a very small group if the $299.00 USD monthly starting price is hard to justify, or for a buyer whose essential capabilities are only available at Enterprise pricing.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited matches and a broad set of engagement tools are included across programs, giving coordinators more than matching alone.
Pros: Enterprise combines cohort-level Smart Match with extensive survey, reporting and export options for teams accountable for program outcomes.
Pros: Native participant apps, calendar support, messaging and Slack notifications give participants several ways to stay involved.
Cons: Pro starts at $299.00 USD per month and the listed participant limit is 50, which may be a poor fit for small programs with tight budgets or larger cohorts.
Cons: SSO, integrations, bespoke matching and advanced reporting are Enterprise features, so organizations needing them face custom pricing.
Cons: Accessibility is only partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which may not satisfy organizations requiring full conformance.

Alternatives

Choose PushFar if individuals should be able to find or become a mentor for free through its Open mentoring network; its organizational platform has custom pricing. Cornerstone Learning is another paid option with pricing that varies by organizational needs and size. Qooper uses custom pricing based on program scope, participant volume and organizational requirements, so it may suit buyers seeking a quote tailored to those factors.

Talendium Internal Talent Marketplace is a paid alternative with contact-sales pricing. Together bases custom pricing on learner numbers, match types and program goals, charging for actively matched users and including implementation and support. Phenom Talent CRM is a paid, web-based alternative with enterprise pricing.

MentorcliQ has a stated CliQ Start price of $9,900.00 USD per year for 100 employees per year; choose it if that published employee-based starting point better matches your budgeting needs. Thrive is a paid alternative with a Thrive Go plan listed at $77,900.00 USD per month.

Browse Mentoring Software for more mentoring platforms, or Talent Marketplace Software if your search is broader than mentoring programs.

Verdict

Mentorloop is a strong fit for organizations that want one system for matching, participant engagement and program oversight, particularly when Enterprise reporting, integrations or Smart Match matter. Its broad core toolkit and mobile apps are persuasive, but the 50-participant limit and $299.00 USD monthly Pro starting price make it a harder recommendation for small or budget-constrained programs; look elsewhere if those economics or Enterprise-only requirements do not fit.
