Overview

Make can generate wireframes, user flows, dashboards, and apps from natural-language prompts. You can begin with a blank slate or bring in a frame or component from Figma Design, then refine the result visually, edit its code, or prompt for another iteration. That range makes it more useful for exploring and testing interface ideas than for producing a static wireframe alone.

Prototypes can connect to real content or API data, and can be shared with a team or published publicly. This is useful when a flow needs to behave with realistic inputs before it is ready to move further. Prompts consume AI credits, however, and consumption varies by model, task complexity, and context volume, so the monthly allowance may not translate predictably into a number of iterations.

Key features

Prompt-to-prototype: Generate interactive wireframes, flows, dashboards, and apps. Clickable output and support for sketch or image input make it suitable for turning a rough idea into something to review.
Three editing routes: Refine in a visual editor, change code in the built-in editor, or prompt again. This gives designers and code-oriented users different ways to shape the same work, though it also means the credit cost of repeated prompting needs attention.
Figma Design starting points: Bring an existing frame or component into Make instead of rebuilding the starting point from scratch.
Data-connected prototypes: Connect real content or API data, then refine and test an interactive result. This is a stronger fit for validating flows than a static mock-up.
Team and organization connections: Organization and Enterprise members can use vetted partner MCP connectors such as Notion, Asana, Linear, GitHub, and Atlassian. Organization members can also connect custom MCP servers, including private internal tools, subject to organization settings.
Sharing and collaboration: Prototypes can be shared with a team or published publicly; collaboration is real-time, and custom components are supported.

Pricing

Figma Make uses a freemium model. Paid plans begin at 16.00 USD per month for a Professional Full seat, billed monthly; that seat includes 3,000 AI credits per month. Starter has no published price and includes 150 credits per day, capped at 500 per month, making it the sensible place to try the workflow before paying.

Plan	Price and billing	AI credits per month
Starter	Price not listed	500 (150 per day)
Professional Full seat	16.00 USD per month, billed monthly	3,000
Professional Dev seat	12.00 USD per month, billed monthly	500
Professional Collab seat	3.00 USD per month, billed monthly	500
Organization Full seat	55.00 USD per month, billed annually	3,500
Organization Dev seat	25.00 USD per month, billed annually	500
Organization Collab seat	5.00 USD per month, billed annually	500
Enterprise Full seat	90.00 USD per month, billed annually	4,250
Enterprise Dev seat	35.00 USD per month, billed annually	500
Enterprise Collab seat	5.00 USD per month, billed annually	500

The Full seat is the better fit for people who expect to prompt and iterate often; Dev and Collab seats cost less but include just 500 monthly credits. Organization and Enterprise raise the Full-seat allowance to 3,500 and 4,250 credits respectively, and bill annually. Those higher tiers are worth considering for organizations that need their connector options, but the price step is substantial. Credit use varies, so even the Full-seat quota is not a guaranteed number of tasks.

Platforms

Figma Make is available on the web and macOS. The closed beta for using Make in a local codebase is narrower: it is Mac-only and requires the Figma Beta desktop app for Mac. That beta should not be a deciding feature for Windows users or anyone expecting local-codebase access across platforms.

Who it's for

Make is a strong fit for Figma users who want to turn prompts or existing design components into interactive, data-connected prototypes and refine them without leaving the design-to-code workflow. Organizations that need partner or private MCP connections have a reason to consider Organization or Enterprise. It is a weaker fit for people who need predictable per-prototype costs, a large allowance on a low-cost seat, or local-codebase beta access outside Mac.

Pros and cons

Pro: Starts from prompts or existing Figma Design frames and components, which can avoid rebuilding interface context.
Pro: Prototypes can use real content or API data and be tested interactively, not just shared as static screens.
Pro: Visual and code editing offer different ways to refine generated work.
Con: Credit consumption varies with the model, task, and context, so planning usage from the monthly quota is difficult.
Con: Lower-cost Professional Dev and Collab seats each include only 500 credits per month, one-sixth the Full-seat allowance.
Con: The local-codebase beta is both closed and limited to Mac users with Figma Beta desktop.

Alternatives

Consider Kombai if a free plan with 300 monthly credits and support for Linux, Mac, Windows, and extensions better matches your platform needs. Fronty is another free option if publishing to a free fronty.live address works for you; that plan carries Fronty branding and page and usage allowances vary by plan.

Anima may suit a small amount of Figma-to-code experimentation: its free plan allows five AI Playground chat messages a day, five Figma imports or website clones, and five Figma-plugin code generations. Consider CoderUI if you want a web-based option whose Pro plan includes 500 monthly credits for 29.00 USD per month. DesignToCodeAI is worth considering for a one-time conversion pack: its Starter Pack costs 12.00 USD once and includes 1,500 Power Points and HTML/CSS/JS plus Elementor JSON output.

Quest is a free-account option with one code download. Alloy offers an extension-based free plan with unlimited users, $5 credits per user per month, and 20 prototypes. Verdict

Choose Figma Make if you already work in Figma and want a flexible route from prompt or design component to an interactive prototype that can use real data. Its editing options and collaboration make it more capable than a prompt-only wireframe tool. Look elsewhere if variable AI-credit use or the limited Mac beta makes its workflow too uncertain for your needs.
